38. Yeah, cause there's no WAY fans could love Seishirou/Subaru and their story because of how fucked up it is. No, of course not, it's all about the buttsecks and we all overlook how obsessive and unhealthy their relationship is just because it's two pretty guys!1

Of course, it's not like one of CLAMP's rules is 'happiness is different for everyone' as well, or as if there were het and yuri couples who're also fucked up (Hi, Kamui/Kotori! :D Hi, TRC!Sakura/Cloney! :D Hi, Saya/Tohru! :D Hi, pretty everyone in RG Veda! :D).

And in any case, those don't matter, they're BAD and WRONG because all RL rules should apply to fiction. The only charas and pairings worth of praise and fans are those who're nice and fluffy and perfect.

Which makes me wonder how the hell do you like X, with all the murders, torture and mindfuckery that happen in it, or how you like Subaru. He fell in love with Seishirou, afterall, despite the guy being a puppy killer. And still loved him despite knowing the guy had murdered his sister AND beat the shit out of him, etc.

THANK YOU. I read that secret and was like "...wait I wrote a fic about Seishirou murdering Subaru repeatedly because I like happy fluffy niceness??? How did I miss this memo?"

I like them broken and damaged and in desperate need of therapy. It's what makes the pairing more interesting than all the happy fluffy romances out there.

I feel the same way about one of my fandoms. It's not that I mind posting my stuff so much, it's just that everyone knows everyone and they're really close-knit and cool and funny, and I think that I'll never be properly accepted in (most of the fans are also a bit older than me, I was four when the show was first aired, everyone else was at least 10ish+). I know that if I overcame my shyness I'd probably fit in, they're all really nice, after all. So, take heart, you're not alone!

38, I like S/S because of how fucked up and tragic it is. Subaru is a character who is obsessed to insane levels, and Seishirou is just as obsessed! And frankly, if you're REALLY talking about Clamp fans, here ... no, I don't think "most" of them would hate it if it was a het relationship. Maybe the crazy ones, but ... Clamp has done just as fucked-up relationships in het, too. Like someone else said, Sakura/Syaoran in TRC ain't exactly healthy.

I do 8D This is why i always say 'ANIMATION IS SO OMGFDHGDSJFHGDSJH AWESOME' rather than 'OMG~ ARTWORK IS PRETTY~' etc.etc. I always appreciate the way a series is animated, compared to the artwork. But i do enjoy the artwork a lot, like for Garasu no kantai, outside of the anime, the official artwork done for it is UNBELIEVABLE *_* But the animation itself is still fantastic too!
