No. Ymir's feelings for Christa are canon, Christa's feelings for Ymir aren't confitmed yet (but it's clear as daylight that she's in love).

Oh, and don't watch the show, it's pretty bad. Read the manga instead.

I'm disagreeing with you on the manga versus anime. The anime follows the manga pretty closely and I enjoyed both overall. The anime's worth at least checking out.

That being said, I lost interest near the end of the anime and around chapter 50 of the manga.

No, the anime ruined Eren and Annie's characterization, ruined the walls are titans scene, ruined several great scenes, added unnecessary shipping scenes with Eren and Mikasa and worst of all the pacing was atrocious (see the boulder arc).

And then it barely had animation, reused stills and ruined the women's character designs trying to make them more attractive. The only good thing it had was the music.

The show was and average adaptation, but then it become shit with the last two episodes.

All your other points I've seen before and are valid enough, even though I disagree. I think what the anime added and left out made the series better (although the pacing is still awful.)

Did they need to add lipstick to make them more noticeably? Those characters are soldiers fighting against gian monsters, for god's sake. I'm sure that the last thing on their minds is wearing makeup.

The anime also ruined Jean's character (made him angry, jealous, and petty, when he was just awesome and sweet in the manga).
And let's not forget all the pointless, ridiculous, aggrandizing scenes they gave to Levi, just because his character is so popular.
It's all the little things like that in the anime that added up, and made it far less enjoyable than the manga

Also, maybe you should warn for spoilers about the second point?

I will hate them forever for adding the unnecesary Levi scenes. In the manga it was beautiful, SPOILERS his team had died and he couldn't avenge them because of his injury, and he was so frustrated and powerless. And then in the anime who cares about his injury, let's add him using the 3DMG! See people, more Levi scenes!!

Uh, Jean is still angry and jealous in the manga too if you've read the most recent chapter he's just like he was in training days. The only thing the anime did to him different was make him obsess over Marco way more than he ever did in the manga.

Although I agree that Levi was pushed in where he was NOT supposed to be there at all just to make him look cool or something.

No, watch the show and then read the manga. The only difference is that the manga's been running longer and has a lot of story the anime hasn't gotten to yet, including all of the major Ymir/Christa parts.

It's worst what they did to Eren. They changed all his 'complex' characterization (as complex as this story can be) during that fight to RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE FLAME TITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN.

lol Eren went from cool and collected controlling his titan form PERFECTLY working in sync with the soldiers in the manga to rage monster on a rampage in the anime.

Levi went from injured and sidelined to keep him out of upcoming expeditions, to being able to do shit all of a sudden.

These are pretty big divergences IMO.

I agree. And I hope to God they change some of the following arc (if the anime ever gets a season 2). At this point I feel like the author is just making shit up as he goes.

I feel like some SnK manga fans have never truly seen a manga butchered by its anime, to be complaining about the finale like they do.

The show is awesome, and beautifully animated. The only thing worth complaining about is the pacing, and that's understandable since they had to stop it somewhere and the manga doesn't have much more content than the anime does. 13 episodes would have been way too short.

Oh, also, the manga has some of the weirdest proportions I've ever seen, and a lot of same-face. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, the anime is leaps and bounds ahead.
