What the hell are you talking about? The only movies that he has been in that pander to American audiences (I assume this means action blockbuster, popcorn flicks) are his MCU films and War Horse. He has done some cameos in other movies/shows but I would think that 90% of the population would not recognize him.

Deep Blue Sea and Only Lovers Left Alive are definitely more artsy films that showcase his talents. And he has been doing plenty of theater work in between filming breaks.

Being asexual doesn't mean you can't appreciate how people look. Sometimes there are just someone who is so gorgeous that they take your breath away, no matter your sexuality.

I'm asexual too. Back when I was in AVEN forums there was a jokey thread of people we'd turn sexual for (in other words people we found irresistibly attractive). I'm pretty sure I answered young Patti Smith.

Is fic where McCoy hears either of them screaming the other's name at the moment of orgasm and then tries to set them up really a thing? Because it sounds a little horrifying.

Other than that, I think many people get the appeal of cliched fanfic. As a rule, cliches=incredibly popular tropes. And id tropes are, like, the definition of what 90% of fans want in their fanfic. The only difference between classic id tropes and cliches is that cliches have become slightly too popular and hence acquired a ridiculous quality to them. But in most cases, it can easily be ignored.

I know I like h/c cliches of all sorts.

lol. I'm sure that's true for a lot of people.

I'm just completely out of fucks to give if people think I'm being mean when defending Cat Stark.

MTE. I liked Fame Monster, and I can kinda see some good points about Born This Way, though I disliked most of it. But lately her music has got just garbled and messy.

So. From what I can glean from this secret, the presence and/or absence of facial hair is what makes him a "slob."

...Yeah do I need to even begin to say why that's a fucking disgusting mindset.

There's always tattoos to make your dreams come true.

do women who aren't SJWs really think this?

honestly curious. I can half see where they're coming from if I squint just right, but it seems such a crazy paranoid way to live your life?

I thought I didn't like cliche'd fic, but reading down that list I was like "I like that. I like that... like that... can't get enough of that... love that..." so apparently originality isn't as much my thing as I thought.

Oh, fuck it. Bring on the pon farr in a cave fic!

Isn't he doing Coriolanus right now? Yeah, I don't think he's pandering. He's getting that exposure so he has access to the scripts he really wants. Although, I actually think he has a great career - big budget blockbusters & smaller, more personal flicks. Pretty win/win/win.

Sorry OP I don't really agree. His next couple of projects are what Crimson Peak and High Rise? The former is a horror film but not a standard one given the director and the latter seems to be a dystopian commentary of sorts and reading the summary of the book doesn't strike me as pandering to a mainstream audience.

If anything I think he's being overly cautious in his choices to avoid being only cast in Loki style roles. I think he's also said he would go back to the theatre again and again if he has the time. And I hope he does because I didn't get chance to see Coriolanus in the flesh (I did see the NTL broadcast.)

This isn't me unwilling to hear any criticism of him because I think he is in danger sometimes of feeding into the Loki association - but only because he's really enthusiastic for that part. I just don't see how his choices are pandering to a specific audience? I'm British and I don't feel he's neglecting my tastes (I love dystopian fiction so am looking forward to High Rise.)

And URGH why must everything be Hiddles Vs Cumberbatch? I really don't get this!

(not OP)

It took me a while to realize I was asexual because of that. There are lots of people I love to look at photoshoots of, I could get starry-eyed at their attractiveness all day, but as soon as I try to imagine having sex with them it's like why, why would I do that, please just pose prettily some more.

Sorry, OP, I think this art is kind of ugly. The only way this guy would be attractive would be if he were dressed in a full-body apple pie costume. And it is not because a real person that looks like this would be unattractive, it's because he's badly drawn.

Yeah he is hitting all the boxes. Blockbusters, small indie stuff, and theater. Now all he needs is to start a band.

Think like what. I don't even know what part of that you're referring to.
