Maybe wait until the day after the big event.

As for tips, write down beforehand what you want to say. Organize your thoughts and lay it all out for yourself so when you have to talk to him you don't get all muddled due to nerves or something.

Be honest, don't apologize too much, keep it concise. Don't try and make it OK, that'll be more about your own guilt and break-ups are sucky and people don't have to be OK about them. Remember that you don't have to feel guilty about this and that it's not always someone's fault that a relationship doesn't work out. And remember that it's better to call it quits on the relationship rather than stay with someone you're not happy with or let the relationship get to the point where you're both miserable.

And remember that it's going to suck and be awkward and weird, but it'll be okay in the future and it's something that needs to be done. Good luck!

Thank you! Yeah, I know that professionalism is definitely the biggest factor (in canon), but fanon had me believing that the third was also a very large factor. Thanks again!

I'm not even remotely a foot fetishist, but I find that a mention of bare feet goes a long way to upping the vividness of a sex scene, probably because they're so rarely mentioned.

IF it's the band I think it is, (which it might not be), the woman in reference is a trans woman, hence why thinking she's pretty is kind of SJ-y, and anything else is being transphobic. I'm still waffling on breaking up with my fiancee. Months after deciding it was pretty much over, months after she moved out to try to get herself together and I discovered I was happier than I had been in the last few years.

Just the few years before that, when she did have herself together, were pretty good. And I don't hate her, I still think she's the only person I could ever actually stand to live with (including my family) and we make an awesome team. We still talk online regularly and crack each other up when we do.

But right now I'm making the same kinds of furious frustrated posts about her lack of responsibility that I saw a past housemate of hers make, about the time she and I got together, so clearly she didn't change during all that time...
