Ughhhh, I so tired of tumblr spreading misinformation. I swear if I see "omg if you submit artwork to deviantart, deviantart has all the rights and will use it commericially" I'll pet a puppy.

I hate how much of a deal people make following/unfollowing on tumblr. I don't see "mutual followers" as some kind of special relationship. I unfollow if I get tired of looking at someone's posts. I don't worry about whether my followers like me or not.

I'm sick of seeing my relatives on facebook react to really old jokes and memes like they're something brand new.

I don't read Facebook anymore, but my fiance does and the other day he was like "OMG YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS" and it was that thing where the dudes put heels on their hands and then pan up to show they all dude... I was like, yeah that was so two years ago and not even that funny.

Also, agree with you on the followers thing. I hate seeing "I lost a follower posts." Boo hoo.

It kind of hurts when someone I considered a friend in a mutual unfollows, but I just do it right back, so... eh you get over it.

This. I don't 'know' the people who follow me on Tumblr (well, i know a couple/three from LJ, but) - the rest? Total strangers. So if they wanna follow, unfollow, whatever - yay! But i can't begin to imagine taking it personally. It's not like i even notice when people do that stuff, i don't get any kind of notifications or anything.

The whole 'follow/unfollow' thing isn't new to me: I remember when people used to get bent out of shape over being defriended on LJ, even when they weren't really "friends" in the first place.

tbh, I stopped worrying about that a long time ago. It also helped I installed some kind of Stylish theme that removed the follower count altogether. Wish they could do the same for the mobile app, heh.

I hate people being willfully obtuse just because someone might have taken a sj concept too far, and don't consider the same point by someone more chill about it, out of spite.

"Well once someone yelled at me about _____!" that still pales in comparison to actual injustice, sorry.

The only subreddit I well and truly keep up with is r/movies, and man, people downvote there like it's going out of style. I know that's probably most of reddit in a nutshell, and i'm not asking for every inept or continuous "What are some good netflix movies that are in black and white and play backwards" to be on the front page, but legitimate questions and discussion on there is actually pretty good.

Say this, and you'll get a 'go to r/truefilm' that moves at a snail's pace.

I posted something similar about misinformation on tumblr yesterday, so yeah that would be mine. And I have minor grievances about silly things on Facebook.

I don't really go on many other websites these days, now that I think about it. At least not frequently enough to form complaints about them.

I'm a bit grumpy because there was a longfic I ragequit because the author was being an ass. It was only posted on ff.net then. Today, I went to that fandom's AO3 section and saw that the author started posting it there as well a few days ago. I blocked the author, so I won't have to see it again but it kind of reminded me of my annoyance back then and now I'm annoyed all over again.

I'm tired of not being able to use a Blacklist/Tumblr Savior-type thing on DeviantArt.

There are certain fandoms/fetishes/artists I'd love to block and not see altogether, but alas. Guess that's probably why I've largely stuck to browsing through the favs of others instead of trying to navigate the main galleries.

I really, really, really hate Youtube/Gmail/Facebook/Twitter/basically every single website that keeps changing its layout instead of attempting to tackle and fix the actual problems they have. I also hate how there is no option to go back to old layouts, even though most of the time the majority of users dislike the new one. (Why is everybody so obsessed with tons of white space these days? And why has everything been replaced with symbols? I CAN READ WORDS. I DON'T WANT TO SIT AND DECIPHER WHAT YOUR STUPID LITTLE SYMBOLS MEAN.)

tumblr where you're more likely to get a hundred responses for how you define a word than your post about same-sex marriage discrimination in your state.

Google, for killing reader to push plus, trying to push plus into mail and youtube, and then finally giving up on pushing plus. And that whole thing about scanning their education accounts for data to sell to advertisers.

I'm playing the Wildstar beta at the moment, and NCSoft's authentication checking leaves a fair bit to be desired.

I'll never undestand why if Tumblr has so many issues with the basic functionality of its site, the staff doesn't so anything to fix them!

-crappy message system
-bugs when you reblog/post something
-better comment feature instead of that comment thing it currently has where you have to be following someone for a certain time before being able to comment.
-horrible search system

They should be ashamed people has to use third party programs to make it barely functional. >:/

Misinformation anywhere is horrible. For me, it's Facebook, and I stay on mostly to see what kind of media my friends/family/acquaintances consume. I'm self training in media analytics right now and hope to become an educator in boosting media literacy (tackling things such as avoiding clickbait headlines, funding research for various media outlets, how to gauge bias, etc.). I spend a good a mount of time correcting people on Facebook, and I somehow managed to get my mom on board in double-checking viral news bits. I'm actually kind of proud of that last one but know if I want to be even halfway effective at boosting media literacy I have to work harder. Facebook's enabling of spreading bad information is annoying but also a bit of a "Challenge accepted!" situation. It's strange.

LiveJournal being constantly DDOS'd whenever some shit goes down in Russia. Is it possible for people to not take their hate of all things Russian out on a website that likely doesn't have much to do with Putin or the Russian government?!

Flight Rising is filled with so much more drama than tumblr, how is such a small website so filled to the brim with assholes.

I'm trying my best to enjoy it but dear god I got an angry message because I was selling some things "too low" and "ruining the economy" and vague newbie hate what the fucking hell blocked, reported, fuck off.
