Re: Would you bang Jesus?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
No. Not into married guys.

Re: Do you live with your parents?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but I'm 15, so I'm not sure I count.

If "all the things people say" is "Wow you're an asshole," then yep, everything people say is true. You are a judgemental asshole, congrats for having that going for you in life.

Because porn trumps everything.

I don't think it's supposed to be "medieval" - it's a hodgepodge of "Western" styles based more on RPGs than actual history.

OMG THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING

Oh cool! My birthday was just a few days ago. Happy birthday to us! :D

I'm spending a couple days visiting my grandparents and other extended family and it has been hella fun.

idk, it's hard for me to judge it, but the Royal Assassin (and its continuation, the Fool trilogy) are the only books of hers that I truly liked. I couldn't get into any of the others at all.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
You put it so concisely and well, thank you. I'm overweight with a family history of heart trouble and diabetes, so weight loss needs to happen for my health and well being. It doesn't mean I feel ashamed of the weight I carry but I'd be nuts to ignore the very real health risks it poses for me.

I'm okay with dudes that are into larger girls and not creepy about it, but it sort of rubs me the wrong way too if you glorify something I've struggled with for a large part of my life.

the problem with that is that every guy who is attracted to fat girls (and visa versa) is treated like they are a freak, like there is only one standard of beauty, and if you have a preference outside of that you are a creep.

Re: Favorite ways to not say "I love you"

Ugh. I can't remember the exact quote, but when Steve was on the bridge and Sam says that bit about Bucky not being the kind you save, and Bucky not knowing him? And Steve says, “He will.” I think he even smiles a bit. To Steve there is no maybe, he's succeeding! And when he knows it isn't likely he decides death is a better option than having to kill Bucky and/or live in a world where he doesn't know him.

Plus, he wastes so much time on trying to take Bucky out without harming him in any irreparable way. It's amazing he didn't actually run out of time and doom millions of people to death because he refused to kill his best friend.

Oh anon... Will we ever get over this movie? We will EVER? Until we do, let's be with each other (until the end of the line). I'm terrible.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
I know. I avoided reading it for ages because it sounded like a horrible mess of old fantasy clichés. While I can't say it ended spectacularly, I will say it was a lot more enjoyable and complex than it sounded by the jacket blurb. That and the Tawny Man trilogy is her best work.

Just about any interaction between Troy and Abed.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
so? it isn't like our current culture doesn't glorify thinness.

fat people are encouraged to have disordered eating and indulge in disordered behaviours to not be fat. There are plenty of fantasy worlds that focus on how wonderful thinness is.

I don't understand why this is such a problem.

Re: Would you have sex with a robot?

[personal profile] loracarol 2014-05-21 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe? Depends on the robot and the AI it has.

I mean, it wouldn't be able to get me pregnant, so there's like, 400 points in their favor already.

Re: What are regional cultural differences in the USA?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
It's because of the south exporting sweet tea to the rest of the country that I always have to go around now specifying that I want "hot tea" because if I just say "tea" there's always a chance someone will think that means sweetened iced tea, even when I'm in fucking North Dakota or somewhere. Hot tea is normal tea. That's how it's traditionally taken. It shoud be what "tea" defaults to. I shoudn't need to specify.

Yeah, same. :P For me she will forever be 18! And not that tiny jfc Disney...

And yes, Pocahontas was supposedly 12 and never had a romance with John Smith. Disney just took some (a LOT) of liberties with that particular story. :'D

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
I dont' have bad credit, but I am not, and honestly can't see myself in the position of being, able to afford to buy.

"you know you're old when"

[personal profile] riddian 2014-05-21 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Title is somewhat ridiculous, because I'm only 25. But I just had a birthday, and I spent it with family, who kept asking me what presents I wanted, because I'm famously hard to buy for and don't really need anything. I answered "I don't really want any stuff, I just want to enjoy the day and spend time with all of you!" And then I had to laugh, because I sounded exactly like my mother and it made me feel unaccountably old. XD

Ever had a moment that made you feel, not just like an adult, but really old?

If I were in a fanwork-creating mood, I would do this all day, every day.

Oh Christ, Merida's design I totally forgot about! That one REALLY looks out of place.

Really?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-21 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
I dislike the Uncanny Valley CG characters a lot, a lot, but I was fine with The Incredibles because their designs didn't ping weirdly realistic with me.
