1. To be honest, I've thought the same before with some irl friends of mine. I have a few that I simply won't lend money to, because I know that they blew it on three videogames and an action figure that month, and there goes my sympathy entirely. I don't really know my f-list's purchasing habits and income, though, so I try to refrain from judging them. After all, I haven't been in their bedrooms lately. xD

2. I love how the countries with "Democractic," "Republic," or "People's" are...usually not. xD Comparison for the lulz.

22. ...are you calling Hisoka quiet? Because if so then we didn't watch the same show.

30. I've never seen Baccano, but I'm definitely not a fan of Reborn. I don't dislike it, but there's just nothing about it that's my cup of tea. I feel weird sometimes because of how many of my friends like it, but I know that I've been on the fandom bandwagon before when a couple of my friends weren't, and it makes it less awkward.

43. I seriously thought Rabbit was a girl for the longest time, and I always thought that Tigger and Rabbit would make a cute couple. They'd drive each other nuts, but I couldn't help but think they'd be good for each other all the same. When I found out Rabbit was a guy, I thought about it, and realized that it didn't really change it - I figured if they were anthropomorphic kid's show characters, does it didn't really make the ship any less bizarre that they were both men. xD

18 - Avatar is all kinds of awesome. I loved Justice League And Justice League Unlimited too, it's what got me into the comics.

1. I dislike it when people spend outrageous amounts of money on fandom and then complain about bills, but seriously it's my money and if I want to spend it on fandom I will. But fandom does come after essential expenses. Two people ended their friendship with me a while back because they thought the fact that I cosplayed was stupid because I 'wasted money' on it, but everyone has their hobbies. I don't see why my cosplaying should be looked down upon when people will spend money on other hobbies. But I digress.

But considering it's got a tiny fucking fandom due to the first 60 chapters being cracked out nonsense, I don't think you've really got much to bitch about. It's more likely that there's more people that haven't even heard of it than people that will get up in your face for insulting it. 30. I like both series. Though I do like Baccano! more. But I think you're doing a unfair comparison, since Reborn! is purposely more of a comedy than Baccano! Plus, it's shounen. Baccano! is not. Baccano! didn't even spawn from a manga. All shounen series are predictable in some way, that doesn't always mean they're badly written or flat. Also, you don't always have to have a ~DEEP PAST~ or background for a character to have personality.

Also, you must be in a bad environment. Because none of the Reborn! fans I know are rabid yaoi fans OMG OTP 38472983721938 WHAT IS THIS NUMBER SHIT.

Want an explanation of the numbers?

I'm wondering if the secret maker's definition of "rabid yaoi fan" is different than ours, because yes... most of the fandom ships yaoi, and that may be what she means.

But I've never once seen any flip out because another writer ships half of their OTP with someone else. (And with how shippable everyone is, and how man different interpretations there can be, it's highly possible that everyone has a different take). And I've never, never seen Kyoko or Haru bashing, and they're females who could potentially kill every Tsuna-related yaoi ship (In fact, I ship both Dino/Tsuna and Tsuna/Haru. What now?)

And hey, at least we don't have seme ship wars like Naruto fandom.

Baccano is amazing and needs more love and I find it sad how it's slipped under the radar, but I love Reborn because it's just plain fun.

I don't see why saying that one is good should require putting down the other, since I don't hear Reborn fans out there going OMG BACCANO SUCKS REBORN IS SO MUCH BETTER or anything.

I totally know what you mean. I left the fandom proper back in '02, and just read the books when they came out and only discussed them with RL friends. Ever since she outed Dumbledore, I've reread the whole canon twice and been taking part in fan comms for the first time in 5 years.

38. I'm not saying there aren't hints, I'm not saying it's gross and disgusting and you shouldn't ship it, I honestly don't care what people ship. Just . . . it's not canon. Or at least it's not in the anime, I can't speak for the manga since I'm embarrassingly behind on it.

I'm up to date on the manga, and while they do share backstory, they aren't a canon ship there either. There's hinting, but nothing solid. I still think people might be jumping the gun in claiming it's canon - I won't believe it until I see real romantic interaction between them.
