18. Batman Beyond, Justice League and Avatar are fucking awesome. And LOL BEN 10. I watched a few episodes of that and it's pretty cool too. Some anime fans really need to pull their heads out of their asses and give these things a chance without stereotyping, because I like some of them more way more than some animes I've seen.

So basically WORD and you can have my internet babies if you want.

30. Cliché fad anime will always be more popular than some that are absolutely amazing. That's just how anime fandom operates. I'm thinking the only reason Ghost in the Shell isn't more popular is because it actually makes you engage some brain cells.

1. YES. I'm no saint when it come to money, but I make sure my bills are paid before I blow my money on fandom stuff.

The only people even worse are the ones that spend all their money on fandom stuff, can't pay their bills, and then beg everyone on their FL for money. I'm the first person to help my friends out when they need stuff, but I'd be beyond pissed if I gave money to someone to buy food only to have them post about the new BJD they bought two hours later.

The only time I really "blow money" on fandom is at Otakon, after I've been saving for weeks/months and have about $300 burning a hole in my pocket. Otherwise, I just buy manga and (usually used/discounted) DVDs, with maybe some merch thrown in somewhere.

I'd be happy to explain it.

I was driving to school one day and listening to the 'Space Oddity' album by David Bowie. The track the caught my attention was one called 'Cyngent Committee'. A friend of mine had just gotten me into ST: DS9 and the song was making me think about the show.

One of the lyrics of the song is 'Where all is God and God is just a word.' I heard it as 'Where all is Gul Dukat, it's just the world.'

I laughed a little and said to myself, "Well, David did claim he saw UFOs when he was a teenager..."

I thought about it some more and it turned into a plot bunny that won't leave me alone! Plus, it doesn't help I'm a bit of a Bowie and Cardassian fan girl so, the idea sounds incredibly hot to me.

1. Ah, I tend to be one of those people sometimes. I just spent $65 on a set of Transformers DVDs (woo takara trilogy! :DD) and am going to start slowly collecting the Sailor Moon R2 DVDs, yet I live paycheck-to-paycheck and scrimp a LOT. Honestly, I can tell what is necessary and what isn't. Most of my fandom money is money I would've spent on dumber things, like candy or some t-shirt I might not even wear, and I set aside my gas and food money beforehand. So I'm not a total lost cause.

In my defense, though, my recent splurging was done with birthday money.

3. OMG MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS! <3 I always wanted to be a Pink or Blue Ranger when I was little. Oh, I wish they'd start putting the older series out on DVD already.

9. I hate Ed/Winry, even if it is canon. I just can't imagine Ed with anyone, even Roy (sorry, FMA fandom). That's probably the reason I don't participate in it much.

18. iawts. I'm more into non-anime cartoons than anime itself, and I'm tired of anime fans playing the "AMERICAN CARTOONS ARE STUPID" card when there's just as much stupid anime out there.

A lot of people share the same feeling, actually. Which may be why I gradually withdrew from the fandom, myself... because, despite there being a lot of people who just don't see pairings, there's a lot of people that pressure others into thinking they should.

30. That's so weird. I had the same exact thing on my mind today. I don't really like Reborn for some reason... I guess I just don't like shonen that much. :P Baccano needs a bigger fandom though. The fanbase is pretty tiny. And there's hardly any fanart of it on Deviantart ._.
