i am also a roleplayer. i have been for years, but i have never had a character talk inside my head. i occasionally joke about characters saying things to me, though it has never actually happened. i can't help but think people who honestly believe they have a character living inside their head are a little on the crazy side, especially if they hold regular conversations with their "muses". sorry.

I'll sometimes joke about characters "talking" to me if I get a sudden inspiration or something, but... I've never actually heard a character talk to me and I'm always a little weirded out when other people (non-jokingly, non-hyperbolically) say they do.

39. I'm a long-time Dark Is Rising fan, but I sort of keep it under wraps. The books were massively important to me when I was growing up too--I think that's why I keep quiet about it. Like you, I was pretty upset when I heard they were making a movie of it and, like you, I doubt I'll see it. What I saw in my mind and what I felt aren't the same as the story they'll tell in the film.

But, I just wanted you to know that there are others of us out here.

Anyone else, please do read the books. They are awesome.

When I was about ten, I watched my cousin play Resident Evil all the time. When I saw that scene (followed by the author of the diary bursting out of the fucking closet, which scared me for days) I immediately wrote a journal format short story about five reporters trapped in an abandoned zombie infested mansion, with the author going slowly more crazy as the story progressed.

I don't have the story anymore, unfortunately... but my parents always mention it to people as something that really impressed them for a ten year old.

7: Totally agree with that. Well, most of it. To be honest, I find myself more interested in Ianto because we don't see enough of him; same with Tosh. I want to know what makes them tick. I think Gwen was forced upon the viewers a little too much by the writers in series 1 and overshadowed the other characters.

Still, I really don't understand the hate. She's so human and flawed and cheeky and downright gorgeous. Plus, Eve Myles plays her magnificently.

Hell, I wish Nintendo had more African-American characters that WEREN'T blatant stereotypes. The only African-American characters that I know Nintendo has are all from F-Zero (Kate Alen, Michael Chain and Baba... Lucy Liberty *might* be mixed race though), and the aforementioned 3 are ALL sterotypes in their designs. Kate Alen aside -because I think she's absolutely beautiful-, it's dissapointing. =/

I started smoking in part because I like how it smells (seriously, I do. I may be the only person on the planet who does.) and in part because anime characters -- and certain real people, imho -- make it look so damn sexy.

23: everytime someone talks about their muse, or talk about how some anime character or thing in their head is telling them what to write or draw, or when they blame it for not giving them ideas, or when they say "oh my muse poked me yesterday! Now I have to write this!" or when they give them names or personalities....the only thing I think is: "Isn't there a medicine for that kind of thing? o_o"

No I don't think you're crazy, but I've just...never understood it. I always think that someone's ideas always come from their own mind, their own imaginations, even if those imaginations somehow manifest themselves into..little...people inside their head. I just assumed it was like an imaginary friend type of thing XD

I don't even know what I'm saying. But I wouldn't worry about it. There's a lot of people with those muse thingies, so it can't be that bad if it's so popular!

Don't worry, it happens to me too. I don't think I go as far as them talking to me and stuff in my mind (though it might have happened when I first started RPing about 9 or so years ago, can't really remember), but I do have the rest of the stuff happen on a daily basis if I'm not really paying much attention.

Mainly it's because I'm big into digging deeper inside of a character's head, as if trying to understand them and stuff, so I make them a part of me in a way. If that makes any sense at all.

Though unlike a few other people, I don't think you're nuts or anything. I am interested in what else you might have to say.

19. Oh! Love! Right here! I've never played IV, and it was III that captured my heart (at the tender age of 5), but other than that, I could've written this secret. I'm praying the DS remake of IV comes stateside so I can finally play it, and that V and VI follow so we'll have the whole trilogy at last.

21. I know the feeling. I adore The Black Parade, and wish I could talk about writing comics with Gerard. I'm always afraid to mention them to others, though, because everyone just assumes I have no taste in music. Very insulting and unfortunate for them - they'll miss out on some excellent tunes.

26. I don't like it either. Not sure why. Just doesn't fit right for me.

28. Don't doubt yourself. Rinoa's a great character, and both her and her relationship with Squall make more sense to me due to the flaws. Nothing's perfect. They both seem so real to me, and like they could honestly live out their lives together happily and with much spirit. Oh, and where did that last bit of art come from, the fanthing with Angelo and the Pupu? It's adorable!

That was like one of the worst shows ever...but my family (my two sisters AND mother) and I all got addicted to it.

23. XD Most amazing secret ever. And not all soulbonders are crazy... I've never met any of the married-to-Sephiroth types. So as long as you don't have that kind of mentality (I mean things like thinking that your character is the actual one from the series, and the only possible one, which it doesn't seem like you're even doing XD) I don't think you have anything to worry about.
