27) OH MY GOD THANK YOU. Johnny Depp BLEW in that movie, and I'm so glad to see someone that agrees with me for once! I can't ever say that without getting torn apart by rabid Depp fangirls that aren't capable of seeing HE CAN'T SING and is utterly destroying Sondheim's work. :/ The fangirls really are destroying that fandom completely.

19. ....This deserves its own comment because I FANGIRLED SO FREAKING HARD WHEN I SAW THIS SECRET. Seriously, I've been debating doing a similar one. I had no idea it even HAD a fandom.

Honestly, I've only played Dragon Warrior IV (Was Dragon Quest a different translation of it or what? I swore the copy I had for Nintendo was definitely Dragon Warrior), though. The other three weren't available here at the time. But wow, you nailed it. That was my first RPG and what really got me into fantasy-type games and RPGs in the first place.

I noticed you didn't mention Ragnar. XD But his chapter wasn't my favorite, anyway. Alena was awesome. Tomboy Princesses for the win. Plus, who wouldn't want to travel around with Cristo and Brey? (Don't be dissing the Brey. Old guys are cool, too!) And I second you on Mara and Nara, as well. I was never really into mages much either, but they were cool.

...And Taloon. Oh man, don't even get me started on him. XDDDD He was the freaking best thing ever. I loved the things he could do in battle. XDDDD Absolutely hilarious. And later on, you can make SO MUCH MONEY with his shop.

Also, I loved how this was my first RPG, and yet it let me choose in chapter five, whether I wanted a male or female hero. And back then, I was just under the impression that guys had to be the heroes and such, thus that made me really happy. XD Also, I loved how everyone you meet came back together to join you in the last chapter and you could switch them around and make all new teams and everything. Plus if someone died in battle, someone could hop out of the wagon and take their place! Oh wagon, how I love you.

...So, massive TL;DR, but this secret made me SO HAPPY. I know my roots, and that is IT. Thank you so much for spreading the love! And rest assured that there IS more love for it out there! If it had a fandom, I would sooooo join. XD Do you know if there's a ROM or something for it? I'm DYING to play it again, but our nintendo has been dead for eons.

And randomly, I just realized you have a metal babble sprite in your secret too. Epic win. Get that massive EXP before he runs away! XD

(Yay, I get to flaunt my bit of knowledge!) The series has always been called Dragon Quest in Japan. However, the name Dragon Quest was licensed in America by someone other than Enix (I think it was a tabletop RPG or something similar) and so they couldn't use that name here. They opted instead for Dragon Warrior. When the license ran out between the stateside releases of VII and VIII, they snapped it up, and so from VIII on, the games are titled Dragon Quest in America as well.

So... anyone else sad about the closing of Slime Knights? Stupid move on Squenix's part, in my opinion.

That's from Resident Evil 1 (see icon). I believe that file is only on the remade GC version, but anyway...

It's a journal left by some guy who lived at the Spencer Mansion as the T-Virus leaked out and turned them into zombies. :3 It shows how he starts losing conscience and getting symptoms and eventually (apparently) bites a friend of his.

17. There was less holding us back, then. There's also the bias of a younger age holding us in favour of old fansites. Heero Is Not Toast is still as mediocre a site as it's always been, but I still favour it over most everything else I encounter in present GW fandom.

45. YES. I had never actually seen what Samus had looked like for the longest time, and I once came across a picture on dA that had something to do with, "what if our favourite characters visited devART?" and I saw this positively adorable black Samus... A few months later I saw what she actually looks like and I still can't express how utterly disappointed I was.
