I'm disgusted by the idea of this movie because 1) Tim Burton is using Johnny Depp for the millionth time, which has gotten OLD (and brings me to my second point) 2) YES JD is a great actor. But he CAN'T sing, which is kinda, I dunno, VITAL in a SONDHEIM musical (not so important in something like Andrew Lloyd Webber :P), and I've seen this musical many times, and BEEN IN it. Depp just is not Sweeney to me. At all.
(My friends might be tired of hearing this, but oh well.)

Well, the rules say secrets can be about fanartists.

She seems interesting to me and many times I have tried to get the courage to try and simply chat with her to get to know her better outside of LJ/DA. I found her because of her artwork and simply fell in love with it. I'm an artist and just find her work so refreshing and hey, that would be one thing we could chat about right?

We've made comments to each other now and then on LJ. But otherwise I just sit in the dark and watch her DeviantArt account and LiveJournal.

She knows me or at least knows of me. But I am pretty sure she doesn't know how much I love her art.

39. YEAH I read those books so long ago that I don't remember anything besides the bare essentials but I still gagged when I saw that trailer. If I ever watch it it will only be because I'm a total whore for Chris Eccleston.

Also I just looked up the guy who's playing Merriman because I couldn't remember that either and URGH WHAT THE HELL NO.

46. I think it's less a realism thing and more of a "we don't want kids to know the real way" kind of thing? It's kind of like if they explained exactly which pills in which dosage are most likely to kill you on the first try. It's not really something you're supposed to do.

I've never been a Johnny Depp fan and, this far into the game, it's pretty safe to say I'll never be, but truth is he did a good job, besides it's too late to complain, I've decided to take all my dislike towards the casting of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter and turn into hope for a carefully handled movie adaptation of Company.

I remember when manga cost between 25$ and 30$ a pop (CAN) and the price dropped dramatically when it became hugely popular. Anime DVDs however, seem just the same price as the old VHS's back in the day when it got less monetary support in the West. With exceptions, but still.

Seriously though, there *are* the characters out there that you're looking for...just maybe in different fandoms. I'm sorry you feel let down that, beneath the helmet, Samus isn't someone you can associate with...I always feel let down that young!Darth Vader isn't English like Sebastian Shaw is in "ROTJ"...but there are other English characters out there who are both 'empowered' and 'armoured' just as there are other strong, female black characters out there. It feels a tiny bit harsh to not like a character so much because they're different to the way you are.

I'm honestly not trying to be nasty here, I just think you've hit the wall of personal expectation vs. designer's ideas which is never nice for anyone.

Keep looking though and sorry for the fact that this is probably the last response you wanted.

I know there are other characters out there that fit the criteria... I just wish Samus could have been one of them. It doesn't change the fact that I love Samus dearly... I just feel like... why not do something more? Why make her blonde and blue-eyed and not try something really different? Even the green hair or purple hair or brownish-blonde hair would have been... I don't know, more interesting? It's hard to put it into words...

Protip: no one is making you watch the game, moron. If you disagree with the mods, the clique, or how characters are played, don't keep watching the place. What's the point in bullshitting about something like a LJ game when you could be out like, idk, making your own or something that has the possibility of being a thousand times better.

I'm not going to deny that this RP has cliques, because hey, what RP doesn't, okay? Any RP that has more than 50 or so characters is going to have cliques. Purg isn't the only one. polychromatic, campfuckudie, luceti, econtra_rpg, template_rpg. I mean, all of them have cliques so it isn't surprising that this one has them as well.

As for mod favoritism? UH, NO. I'm like, best friends with one of the mods (both of them? idk, whateve') and my characters have always gone on the activity check and one has been kicked for inactivity. Also, none of my characters are involved in the ShinRa plot, either. So it has nothing to do with who favors whom. It's just who you're playing as a character and what they can contribute to the plot.

No plot for you? CRY MOAR. Make your fucking own. No one is stopping you; get off your ass and think one up. There is no rule that says "PLOTS ARE ONLY MADE BY THE MODS AND MUST ONLY HAVE INVOLVEMENT FROM THEIR BFF'S." There is nothing to say you can't think up something of your own, so quit dicking around and get creative; get yourself and others involved in your own plot. Isn't that half the fun of an RP? If you're there because you want someone to hold your hand and tell you what to do next, you're obviously doing the wrong thing for RP. Go play a video game; it'll work out better for you in the end.

Also; yeah, some characters ARE out of character, but give me a game where every single person is completely in character and not ever making a mistake. I mean seriously, never going to happen.

So just, seriously. Grow the fuck up, get the fuck out, and leave the RP, the mods, and the players alone.
