Steve Rogers/Sharon Carter -- THE NIECE THING SKEEVES ME OUT.

I'm not a hypocrite on this either. Some people try to do Howard/Steve and Steve/Tony in the same fic and it makes me NOPE THE FUCK OUT.

I actually like Howard/Steve too. Steve/Tony's kind of meh to nope for me though I have read a few good fics for this pair, but it's not a favorite.

Pinto for lots of reasons. I'd say my biggest reasons for not shipping them are I feel like the media has (unintentionally) nudged people in that direction and that they're really too similar in personality to really work as anything other than friends.

To me, I can't really ship characters that haven't had ANY or just meager interaction in canon.

Trying to think of big pairings....

Dean/Sam. It is because of my dislike of Sam because I can ship Dean/John. Crazy, I know.

Vegeta/Goku. Just...no. Never.

Kirk/Spock. I just watched the movies and my love of Karl Urban shaped who I ship (anyone with Bones).

Charles/Raven from the new X-Men movies. I usually like incest-y ships, but that one is such a big no for me.

Anything that breaks canon ships up, honestly; I just have a hard time buying that the ships we've seen built up would just break up. I know that it's not something that bugs everyone, but it bugs me, so I can't ship things like Steve/Tony, or Thor/Loki (well, I can't ship that because I don't like Loki in general), etc.

Though, I do like things like Thor/Jane/+, like Thor/Jane/Steve; additions are okay, but break-ups don't work for me.

I don't like Tony/Pepper/+ fics though, because I don't really like Tony tbh

Does a certain Wreck-It Ralph ship count, or is that taken as a given? (For the morbidly curious, the ship name is apparently "Jawbreaker." I won't go into any more detail.)

Megatron/Starscream. There's a couple reasons, but the least wanky is that I'm a dedicated Megatron/Soundwave shipper.

Maybe too general, but I can't ship pairings with backstories that involve Character A having known unrelated Character B when A was an adult and B was a young child (let's say 12 or younger). The difference between their ages and the whole "old enough to be their parent" thing doesn't bother me, but them knowing each other then does.

There's probably some pairing out there that I'd make an exception for if it was convincing or written well enough, or if they played it as kind of screwed up on the part of one or the other, but I've been in way too many fandoms where that's largely seen as sweet or romantic and I just can't get into that at all.

Spock/Uhura (reboots, at least the way it's done)

This one frustrates me because I could see it working really, really well if done properly. And I have all these wonderful little fic fragments of them together in my mind. Such as:

-Them not getting together during the Academy, but Spock is attracted to Uhura/falling in love with her but is ashamed of his feelings/doesn't know how to handle them
-Them working together in the lab where Spock's impressed by her quiet, no nonsense competence and Uhura gets to see his sense of humor and more muted, restrained emotions outside the classroom
-After his mother dies, he realizes how much he's missing out on by repressing his feelings
-Spock playing the Vulcan lute, Uhura being drawn to the music, him inviting her to join him --> Duet ensues (because Nichelle Nichols had a gorgeous voice) and then Spock confesses his love for her (be still my heart)
-Then, just seeing them happy together and supporting one another

But the way it plays out in the film? Christ what a train wreck. Comes out of nowhere, way too many fights, dick moves all over the place, and Spock's emotions are completely misdirected.

Elsa/Anna. I don't have an issue with incest ships but it's one of those cases where it hits too close to home in the way I relate to Elsa and in how sister relationships are.

Because I recently marathoned Arrow and Flash:

Oliver/Felicity: I love them both but can't see them as a couple. I really liked better when Felicity was the only woman on the show that had no interest in Ollie.

Barry/Iris: The raised together and sharing a father thing squicks me out.

Booth/Brennan: Massive hate there since half the the episodes had Brennan--a fucking anthropologist--acting dumb and offensive and Booth getting the last word of wisdom.

Sherlock/Joan: He's an asshole and she's smart enough to see through him.

Ritchie Holmes/Watson: Wink-wink nudge-nudge gaaaaaaaaaaaybaiting.

Tony/Loki. I don't really know why, other than the idea just sort of bothers me.

Any Warden/x pairing in Dragon Age. I just don't give a fuck about other people's wardens. There's only one warden for me, and that's MY warden. I don't even like when fics mention a warden as a background character, unless it's really cleverly handled.(Funnily enough I quite like some other people's Inquisitors.)

Ulfric/Rikke and Ulfric/F!Dragonborn. Just doesn't interest me at all. Gay Ulfric all the way, man.

Dorian/Iron Bull. Some of the fanart is cute, and the banters are great, but I just don't like Bull that much. Sorry Bull. :(

I've got a lot of ships that I don't ship or don't like but tbh it's easier to list the types of relationships that don't work for me:

Parent/child incest.
Hate-ships, though in some cases this can work for me but most of the time if I don't feel like the characters even like one another a bit I wont be able to ship it. I require some affection in a ship, even if it's one-sided or in the past.
And characters not interacting in the canon, so long as they've interacted in some way I'm good but if they've never met chances are it wont work for me.

Steve/Tony and any pairing that involves Teen Wolf's Derek Hale that isn't Sterek. I understand my aversion to Steve/Tony, but the weirdness with "DEREK HALE MUST ONLY BE IN STEREK," I don't even understand. :/

I can't ship the Arrow version of Oliver Queen with anyone because he's so terrible. aAl of the women on the show deserve better. Laurel and Felicity should just get together and leave him in the dust tbh.

Steve/Tony and Steve/Sam. Obnoxious shippers killed what interest I had in these two pairings. I like them as friendships, though.

I've also found that I can't ship Bucky with anyone without Steve in the mix.

UGH. ALL THE PAIRINGS IN MY FANDOM.

I'm over here shipping older man/younger man and delicious silver foxes in a fandom full of teenagers.

The two most popular pairings are two characters with almost zero canon interaction, and two brothers. ALL OF MY NO.

Guess I'll just go ahead and say Korrasami.

Partially because their on-screen relationship is laughable, partially because Asami is essentially hubcap with lipstick on it, but mostly because the fandom is about as pleasant as a hour-long killer bee enema.
