I find it endlessly amusing that Tom Felton seems like a complete sweetheart and goofball.

If people want published slash novels, they'll have to buy them and show publishing companies that slash is a marketable commodity. But they don't, because there's tons of slash for free on the internet.

So instead, you're going to get mediocre het novels, because people pay money for them.

If it's real they're probably in fucking jail where they belong.

So, I made a thread a while back asking about torrenting and got some good advice. However, I am apparently completely tech-illiterate because I can't get anything to work (and I ended up downloading a bunch of Adware).

So, can someone provide me with a step-by-step of how to download and then use torrent (like what's bit-torrent and stuff?). Or, provide me with a link to a trusted site that explains it like I've never touched a computer before in my life?

Does anyone have any advice for the Adware. I've uninstalled a bunch of it but my virus protection never picked it up and I'm wary of downloading a program to search for it. What do you trust? Is there something else I could be doing? Do you have to download something or can you do it manually?

I must be tired, because nothing about this is making any sense to me.

This is an either/or type thing, right? Or a "we find out we're related long after the fact" sort of thing?

I miss lynx too! And it occurs to me I haven't seen Nursejoy or Stella in a while, though to be fair I haven't been posting as much lately.

I thought it was pretty clear that he and his family cared more about themselves than any ideology, and I wouldn't expect that to change. But he nods civilly to Harry in the epilogue instead of sneering like he would have at school.

Don't be surprised when people are more sympathetic to the fandom for caring than with you for being ~so annoyed omg~ by people who care.

Oh! I got a comment on the fic I'm writing that I expected everybody to ignore. That comment made my day.

I love Jennifer. She's great at her job. She was a young, awkward genius just like Rodney, and says the adorably wrong thing all the time just like him ("mess with your insides") so I dunno why people don't like her.

She was never a threat to McShep, because Rodney (or at least DHew) never looks at her in a sexual way. The writers tried to write it but the actors never played it. It's kind of sad.

She had terrific chemistry with Ronon. They were adorbs together in Quarantine.

I never liked Keller but I loved Elizabeth. I got really mad when they just threw her under the bus and got rid of her. Show never felt the same after.

I love McShep, I like Keller, I just didn't like Keller and Rodney together. (They didn't mesh for me at all, and seemed ill-suited for each other. I actually thought Rodney and Katie were adorable while they lasted, though I was not surprised they didn't work out.)

Jewel is cool and I wanted it to work out, but she never felt like part of the team to me.

Zartan/Cobra Commander. (Yes, I am the OP of that secret from a while back.)

So I don't know how to phrase it, but I'm in the mood to read about a future where is is not constantly night, where the world is not one large urban sprawl devoid of nature, where the weather is something other than rain. Where they have fresh air instead of pollution. I don't necessarily want to avoid the distopian future bit, Just maybe a distopian future I could stonch to live in without killing myself. I'm not ever sure how you would classify this, but I's looking for advice and recs.

A part of me has always believed that JKR gave the child that name in order to subtly declare her love for Farscape.

I know there's no way it's actually true, but it makes me happy to imagine it.

Stella popped in a little while ago to check in but hasn't actually started being around more again as far as I can see.

Yea, if Keller had to be paired with someone, I would've wanted it to be Ronon. (Since the show never bothered to give me Teyla/Ronon either.) They were super cute in that episode.
