I feel like there has to be a distinction between "what was done to this person was wrong" and "I support this person." I mean, look at how the anti-Gamergate movement rallied in defense of an alleged abuser! Charlie Hebdo was fucked-up in the aggregate, not the individual, but opposing murder shouldn't have to mean praising and celebrating bigotry.

(And yes, I've read that post about how French satire is totally different and Americans just can't understand it. I can't buy it as an excuse.)
