Me too. Used to love the series when there was actually a plot, now the only thing keeping me with the series is the fact that Edward still hasn't made it on Whorenita's To Do list.

You could do what I did about roleplaying, though; find a multifandom RP appledcore could use more AB characters xD and lift a character from before the ardont arrived.

That said, I'm still not buying it. We can talk about improving the industry and giving people their due all we want, but some of us are poor college students who have better ways to waste money than to to spend 25 quid for a 4 episode DVD. Such as, say, food. You want more people to buy your stuff? Then try to keep it affordable for your target audience.

Everyone thinks I "love" him, but really, I just admire him. He's one of the strongest and most beautiful characters ever, and he will always be my favorite.

It's alright to angst. I angst because I am depressed. I think Subaru would agree, because he is depressed, and he does angst.

But he keeps on going, and that's why I admire him. Even after everything he's been through. And that's why he always makes me think that everything might be alright again.

I can kinda get your point about never liking anything as much, but... never watching another anime series just because you loved that one so much? Wtf? Have you picked your favorite movie, book, and video game and shut out all the rest of those, too?

I sorta meant for this to sound less snarky than it did, but really--realizing something is your favorite? Is fine and understandable. Never liking anything as much? Cool. Go for it.

Never giving anything else a chance, ever, even to like it at all, to find some enjoyment in it even if you know it won't be 'as great' as your favorite? That's some level of fandom-lame. Sry.

4) Definitely. I want to show the AA series to my old Women's Studies professor, simply because it's so progressive - the fandom, too. And the characters are all so AWESOME.
6) The classics are all good, but please, please give the new stuff a chance. Just because Pokemon is your favourite doesn't mean you have to treat Lucky*Star, Ouran and Gurren-Lagann like novelty garbage.

20) I'm anti-dub and anti-4kids, but I have to admit it was the DiC destruction of Sailor Moon that brought me to where I am today. The thing is, though, things have changed. People EXPECT to see uncensored, un-Americanized anime. We HATE it when our shows are dumbed down and ruined. Times have changed, Mr. Kahn and his company have not.

28) That sucks. I hate it when unique, interesting series are turned into generic plot-ignoring, girlbashing slash pits. That's why I've never read/seen Death Note.

48) I buy the Haruhi special editions. (Present tense because I can't find the last one.) In fact, I buy everything I download, and then I buy it for my cheap fansub-watching friends. This industry needs support. We don't know how good we've got it.

48. See, my problem with buying anime is that since both anime and manga enjoyed a fairly recent giant leap in popularity, manga prices has gone down by almost 50%, but anime prices have remained ridiculously expensive, and way higher than most other DVDs. No wonder no one wants to buy them.

43. You have beaten me to it. That episode of Futurama made me cry; it is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. I didn't think Futurama was capable of it. I thought I'd make a secret about how wussy I was when I saw it, but you got here first. AND you have Agro in there. I stopped playing after he fell, and I went a whole day feeling crappy about it before I attempted to play again and, well, you know. Oh, Agro. I love you. 36. Trigun. It seems like whenever I browse the secrets here, I *hope* to find a Trigun secret and *expect* not to. Fandom seems small now, at least where I run in it, and I'm always afraid to make new Trigun-fandom friends because of stupidity I was involved in some circles. *Shakes* I've never seen this rp journal - and now I feel like a bad fan? Apparently, someone has a Rem journal. That - I really want to read.

43. Seymour <3. I've seen that episode of Futurama 50 million times, so I don't cry over it anymore, however, I understand. <3. Animal suffering and animal deaths in movies and TV shows always seem to *get to me* more than with human characters. I don't know if it's just some of the negative things that I associate with fellow humans that I don't with pets making me "less symapthetic" to fictional humans, but seeing a character's pet die really gets to me. (Or in the case of Seymour, waiting and waiting for the friend who never came home). Just... yeah.

I'm a Jaime Murray Fan and a Dexter fan, but I've yet to see the new season, so it's best if I keep my speculations on the new season out of this. I will say though my experiences on the edges of the Dexter fandom were not good at all so I am not surprised they acted so shamefully over the whole thing. They can't seem to tell the difference between a well written character you aren't supposed to like and a bad character that's just bad.
