I'm pretty sure it's a piece of tissue or fabric. Whatever it's written on is too smooth for a hand, and you can see where the pen was tugging at it and making dents in the surface. Skin won't do that (or not any normal person's skin anyway.)

34. Love is an incredibly powerful emotion as well. Are the people who make fanshrines and the like retarded for obsessing over a fictional character and get defensive when someone doesn't like said character?

Granted, hate is the more destructive emotion so I guess character bashers are still petty, but if someone hates a character that much, then they're not really different from the person that loves a character to the same degree.

I love the show myself, but I'm actually not all that excited for season three. o.o
BUT UH, ABOUT THE ACTUAL SECRET, sorry you couldn't get into it. Again, I love it, but I respect that other people out there, it didn't appeal to them, and it sucks that your friends won't let you dislike it in peace. As long as you aren't being rude to them about it or bashing it in their faces, I don't see why they should have a problem if you like it or not.

43. No matter how many times I've seen it I cannot not cry during that episode of Futurama. Also, the one where Fry is looking for his four-leaf clover and finds out it's his nephew, not his brother, who has his name and clover and did all of those great things. I just breaks my heart everytime.

48. Reason I didn't buy Haruhi on DVD? I like it so much better in broadcast order, and to get the series in that format you have to buy the ludicrously overpriced "special edition" with all the extra crap in it. So yeah, fansubbing did kill my potential purchase of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya...but not on account of "well I don't need to buy it because I have it on my computer." It would've been the same for me if it was aired here in broadcast order and they pulled the same shit with the special edition DVDs. I don't need a headband and four soundtracks guys. Really.

Anyway, I don't think you need to be ashamed. There are enough FF games that I think you're allowed to like any one of them the most, even if most of the fandom doesn't appreciate it as much as you do. I think it's good to see someone who's favorite isn't FF7 for once. So go for you. :D

I loved FFX-2 as well. ♥ It's so much fun to play, even with the missions system of doom.
