3. I feel that way about Disney movies in general especially this movie and Beauty and the Beast (WTF Gaston/Belle makes me writhe in pain and usually I'm very pairing tolerant!)

20. And I love FUNi for picking up what was left of One Piece and bringing it back to what it should be after 4KIDS devastated it. Pokemon was the only decent thing they did and they even screwed THAT up.

12 - Hey, it's my OTP too, and I'm surely not ashamed to say so. Just don't be part of batshit fandom and enjoy at your leisure. =) Yes, the shipwars are ridiculous, but that shouldn't take away your enjoyment of a relationship in the series, esp. as beautiful as their's is.

I actually laugh at all shipwars, because honestly, if I don't, I think I'd cry at how stupid fandom is sometimes. D:

48 - See, I talked about this recently with friends of mine in the dub business, and I've come to the conclusion that while downloading is a factor in the decline of Anime DVD sales, it's not the only factor. Bad business decisions are also a big problem, as well as mediocre production of the DVDs themselves. Honestly, whose going to buy DVDs if the fansubs had more accurate translations? Plus, lack of decent bonus material is off-putting for many folks.

Unless they start selling the anime by boxsets, I don't see the problem getting any better until the Japanese marketing model changes. Yes, the Japanese companies are also responsible for there only being about 4-5 episodes per disc, and until they change that, the decline is most likely to continue. Esp. for a series that is over 24-26 episodes--few people are going to buy a DVD of a series they know they can't possibly afford to collect completely.

*cough* Anyway. I felt the same way after watching the series. Honestly, it just made me love it more because it's a relationship that I respect and would want, but yeah, it also made me feel really lonely.
A bit of advice? WATCH IT ANYWAY. It is warm fuzzies. And you know what? Hang in there. You might have to wait a while, but I'll bet that if you're serious about it, you'll find someone that loves you just as much as Renton and Eureka love each other. It really does happen. I promise.

31. I'm admitedly a little intimidated to get really into the TF fandom. I think I'm sorta there in that people like my writing but I'm still a little nervous about actually chatting with people in the fandom. It seems that if people haven't moved on, they already sort of have their group of friends and not to say they're uninviting - but I'm just worried I'll completely intrude upon someone's space and group.

Er... In any case, if you want to geek about Transformers with someone... *waves a small hand* I'm not the type to start BIG DRAMA over people leaving an RP or even leaving a fandom.

Uhh... Yes? I'm the same way. I watch other anime, and I enjoy it, but as soon as Pokemon is on I'm fucking 6 years old again. :D

48. On the one hand, I'm sorry that you've lost a Sai, though you're right, you were extremely lucky to ever have one. On the other hand, I feel like you've missed the point completely. The series ended where it did because of problems between the mangaka and his publishing group. The ending we got isn't happily ever after, it's eternally heading towards ever after because we didn't have time to get there.

Haha, I do that stuff too! Only difference is that I actually love that sort of movies the most, and my dad is actually in on the slashing. He's straight as an arrow, but knows that I like it -- so he usually cracks tons of jokes and points out gay stuff and so forth. It's great XD

34.) As someone who writes stories, I find when people tell me they hate one of my characters, I feel complimented. Hate is a strong emotion, and you could feel it for something that is not real? That means I've done my job. I think it's great when people respond to these things on emotional levels, it really makes you feel like you've done a good job. Now, see, if it becomes way too obsessive, that can be an issue.

28: I was in that fandom for about two hours on a Saturday afternoon. I'm a soulless slash-fiend, but I was also surprised at the fandom. Granted, I was only looking for a brief time, but what I saw was...strange. I understand what you mean.

32: I liked Lila so much in the first few episodes with her that I really wanted Dexter to leave Rita and go with her. Only when she accused Angel of rape did I really start to hate on her.
