30. Funny that I read this immediately after watching my newest DVD of this show. XD You do know it's a parody, right...? Of Fushigi Yuugi and all those sorts of shows. Honestly, I think it's hilarious because it's so bad and it knows that it's bad. Also because it's gay, it KNOWS it's gay, and throws in all sorts of silly over-the-top hints just to make the fans squee like the idiots we are.

48. As a professional voice actress, thank you very much. :) It's hard enough trying to get a start in an industry that's tight-knit to begin with, but it only makes it harder when its own fans don't even buy the product.

I seriously wish more people were like this. Back when I used to download anime I bought EVERY series I downloaded and once a series WAS licensed- I stopped downloading it and bought it. Ever since I stopped having money to spend on anime I stopped downloading it.
I honestly prefer the old days when VHS tapes were swapped as the people/groups involved in that were far more respectable.

I understand DVDs being costly (hey, I don't have any money for that stuff, either), but we get better deals in the U.S. than they do in Japan when it comes to them (they get, what, 3 episodes on a DVD and for more money?). There are even much cheaper ways of buying a DVD...like at Best Buy/Frys where they normally are priced between $20-$25 or thinpacks.

34. As I always say, if it's immature to hate a chara, then it is immature to love a chara too. Different faces of the same medal, etc etc.
Why can't you think that if a fictional character can cause such strong emotion (love and hate) it's just a GOOD SIGN showing that chara had an IMPACT?

I like thinking that it is actually "Roro" or "Lolo" for self-amusement. Not that being named like a chocolate caramel isn't amusing enough...

I admire him too. I think that people always forget about how he tried his best to make his dream come true in Tokyo Babylon, how he was happy even though he couldn't have a normal life, how he always tried to be strong in order to help other people, and how he suddenly lost the two persons he loved more than anything in the world before he actually got depressed.

And I'd like elaborate more, but my English is pretty bad =

I have been thinking over that ever since I saw the first episode like. 7 months ago. XD I was like, "Lelouch Lamperouge....shady red lamp? What?" And no, no one takes Code Geass seriously that I know of. Just--look at the way he poses all the time.

People CAN be just friends without wanting into each other's pants.

The only thing that will stop me from downloading fansubs will be legal action. I don't delete the episodes after I've seen them like some people, because I'm a horrendous packrat. I don't even delete series after I buy the DVDs because I prefer keeping my DVDs in their cases so they don't get scratched :P

My position on fansubbing and DVD purchasing is somewhere in the grey - I watch a ton of fansubs without any plan of buying the DVDs, but then there are some shows that I've only found out about because of that habit that I fully plan on buying when they are available - TTGL, Emma, Ef, Claymore, Seirei no Moribito, Baccano, Blue Drop, School Days, and more).

When Haruhi came out, I didn't find it to be amazing or anything, it was just another show that I didn't feel strongly either way about. I might have considered buying it on sale eventually, if there wasn't so much hype - the whole ASOS thing and the viral marketing made me much less keen on the prospect.

TL;DR - I like fansubs AND I like DVDs. This is not division by zero. When the industry CRIES MOAR, I feel less inclined to throw down my cash.
