XD I'm french so I immediately got the "red lamp" thing (I dunno where you got the "shady" part from tho), but even if the names make me laugh and cringe I think it's an appeal of the serie, for me anyway (it's easier to remember those names :P). You don't have to take the serie too seriously to like it anyway~

25. Loss of respect aside, that's always bothered me too. As long as they're both genuinely happy with each other and have a relationship that works, what should it matter if one's a "better person"? If it really is a relationship where one of them is unhappy or bored, then I don't have a problem with that being said (not that that means the pairing shouldn't exist), but yeah, too often it seems like it's used just because the fan happens to personally dislike one of the characters.

25. I agree so much with this secret. It doesn't matter if someone "deserves" or "doesn't deserve" another person. Because as stories and real life has proven time and time again... that's just not the way love works.

34. It's always bothered me how people will bash characters they don't like. Instead of focusing all your time and energy on a negative emotion like hate and distaste, shouldn't you be focusing your energy on something more positive? Instead of going on about the OMG SORA HAET!!!1one (or any other character in any other fandom) it'd probably be better for people and fandom as a whole to focus on who they love. It also prevents hurt feelings when someone keeps going and on and on about how much they HAET!1 Kairi or Sora or Riku or any of the KH2 characters. (lol, tl;dr sorry XD;)

4. Yessss. Thank you! I absolutely love the females in PW, and it surprised me as well.

9. I have to admit, this part left me blank. I didn't hate it, but I can't say I liked it either. AS is a great series, but it does have themes that some people would find offensive. I guess it wouldn't help if I said that even though that's the main pairing, the focus isn't on that part of the relationship at all?

30. Augh, I did the same thing. Well, didn't finish the series, that is. I sat through part of the main arc, which was described as 'wonderfully deep', and I just... ergh. I didn't even think the intro episode was funny, and that part was meant to be the most hilarious x__x; I really only cared about Gwendal and Gunther, and... they became comic relief characters for 99% of the time. Ew.

44. The funny thing is, I actually think het does devalue male-female friendship, sometimes? At least when two guy characters have a close friendship/partnership, they stand some chance of not being shipped together all the friggging time. If it's a guy and a girl, it's pretty much guaranteed that they'll be paired together constantly, and it might even become canon (GOD DAMN IT MULDER AND SCULLY). It's like people can't even conceive of men and women relating to each other without romance involved? It makes me kinda sad sometimes.
