...Nope. Still can't do it.

Still. It's nice to see a mecha anime where the focus is not omgawesome mecha battles. The plot is decently engaging, even if some plot devices are iffy (liek woah). Overall, I like it.

The way I see it, is that alot of the time ppl can't enjoy a series without slashing some characters. Like being friends isn't good enough. I LOVE a good male friendship, or a quirky one. I also enjoy yaoi, and some pairings are fucking AWESOME and i totally support them... but some people just slash to slash, and don't bother thinking that hey, those two guys really ARE just friends, kooky!

20. Actually, most 4kids haters I've met ARE NOT anti dub.

They just hate the piss poor job 4kids does (Hello overworked, reused voice actors!) and what a FREAKISHLY LOW OPINION 4kids has on kids. Seriously? Erasing cultural references and making signs blank because they think KIDS ARE TOO DUMB TO UNDERSTAND THEM? Eliminating guns when most other kid shows you find on Cartoon Network or something made of slapstick, violent humor? The average G rated Disney movie has stuff that 4kids would deem "inappropriate" for kids. (Disney, BTW, is one of the better dubbing companies out there. They're the ones responsible behind the Miyazaki movie dubs and I think the Digimon dubs as well.)

And then there was the Sonic VA controversy that 4kids is at the center of, but I'm not going into that.

Disney didn't dub Digimon--it was Saban. ...Well, except, I think they're sort of responsible for the last two seasons. But the early ones on Fox Kids were before Disney bought Saban out.

That being said, I have very little respect for 4Kids anymore (although I think they did an OK job on the first season of Pokemon), and I'm pro-sub. So I do agree with you at least somewhat.

(And really, whoever Sonic would be, I'd have a hard time swallowing it. Jaleel White is Sonic to me, so I tend to be sort of 'eh' to other voices for him. XD;;)

I'm almost exactly the same. I think my biggest DO NOT WANT with het incest is the possibility of inbred children. I once read this fic where one of two brothers had been gender-bendered into a girl (it was crack). The two had sex, and all I could think of was "OH GOD USE CONDOMS FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST AAAACK".
