14. If you read the mangaka's doujin of her own series, it's even worse. She has trouble making sense. I don't think even she knew what the hell she was doing with those characters. =/ It's a shame that's a lot of people's first point of contact with the fandom. Once you shop around a little, you realize how screwed up it all was. I still enjoy fanfiction of it...Fix-it fanfiction ^_^;;

21. Cause cartoons are always realistic art and the storylines, plots, themes, characters, etc can't possibly make up for the deficit in your perceived value of the genre. -_-

Dudes, you are both awesome (I was just saying tonight how I'd love to have fanfiction written for books I'd published and that I'd definitely still participate heavily in fandom). A+ :D

19. DO IT! I know it sounds inpossible, but if you put SOO much time in daydreaming and thinking and wishing about it....maybe you should just put TIME into the story and etc. to make it! Post it online with a website, see the possibilities!!

32. Actually, Davison was younger than Tennant when he took the job. By, what, at least some five or so years? Eh, I know you knew that though. Just saying.
Tennant's the "look" of the Doctor now because, well, he is the Doctor right now, and he's the Doctor during a bit of a...renaissance of Doctor Who, as it were (okay, Eccleston started the renaissance, but, y'know, he left after one season, so...) at a time when Doctor Who is being shown on a mainstream American channel (Sci-Fi) and when people have a bit more access to it (internet, BBCA, etc), so a bunch of new fans are hoping on board, and everyone kind of views their first Doctor as "the" Doctor.

I like Tennant's look. No, I'll take that back. I love Tennant's look. Whip-slim lad in pin-stripes with trainers? Wonderful! And I don't just mean for teh sexys--it's a very good, strong visual without being quite so strong a visual as, say, The Scarf or The Coat.

That said, I rather hope the next Doctor has a thing for some horrible fashion no-no, like badly coloured sweatervests, or paisley or something. But I'm fine with Tennant for as long as he's around.

I completely agree. I hate saying it out loud because so many people, even among my good friends, love this series with all their hearts. Write odes to Yuki and Shuichi, and they just can't see how very unhealthy and parasitic and abusive this relationship is. And you know what? Those relationships can be done well. There's something to be said about imperfect relationships - even horrible ones - and how they might improve with time. But so many people seem to think that what these two have is healthy and good and pure, and it makes me want to cry every time I hear that.

The sad thing is - and this probably deserves its own secret, because I'm horribly ashamed of it: I didn't realize how very twisted and wrong their relationship was until I read Megamix. And while I know that those author-created doujinshis are slightly AU, it opened my eyes and made me see how very screwed up it was, and how very wrong I had been to coo over their partnership and think it the most adorable thing ever.

What's with all this New!Who hate lately? I doubt it's much of a secret anyway that you don't like the newer Doctors, you just want to complain about them publicly. Of course the new!Who Doctors are going to get shitloads of fandom attention, that's generally the way fandom works - people get really into what's current. When Ten leaves, Eleven is going to have a hella fanbase.

29: You know, nobody is ever completely ugly. There is always one characteristic that is nice. And if the Ouran Host Club was real, I'm pretty sure Tamaki wouldn't lie to you. :3 You seem like a nice person. It's obvious. But I'm pretty sure a lot of girls feel that way. i don't know if anime dose have any artistic value. it tells good story's (and bad ones) like any other mediam. would you rail against western comics? and sometimes, the creator of a program will set out to do something clever (lain, eva), but most the time, its to make something awesome (like gurren lagen) or just spin cash or whatever. i think you might be worrying to much over intresting programs and pretty designs.

Um. I hate Secret 21 as much as anyone, but when you defend it with grammar that poor, you sort of almost prove their point. Not trying to be particularly mean. Just saying. Good grammar means you'll be understood, and it helps people to take you seriously.
