Sexy as I find Colin Baker and Peter Davison, I have to say a big, giant WORD.

...Which is probably why I have my own 25-foot scarf for snuggling on sad days.

There are points of your secret that I both agree and disagree with.

I definitely agree that because of the writer's strike, as with any other strike, there are many more people apart from the writers who have to suffer financially because of the halt on work.
But I think that this is a necessary price to pay for the existence of unions, and the ability to demand better salary or working conditions.
Not everyone can afford to go on strike, I understand this completely. But the right to be able to speak out if you think you deserve more out of your job is important to have, and sometimes people have to act on this.

17: P.A.-ing sucks! That's how much it pays, so I gather you probably work it. Or one of the other behind the scene monkey jobs. I feel your pain (I've P.A.'ed) BUT IF I SUPPORT ANY WRITER, I SUPPORT THE INDIE AND ANIMATION WRITERS. they get paid shit. :/

20. Dude, I could never understand where people were getting Emily Whats-Her-Face as Bella. I mean, she was cute as Violet, but she just does not look like Bella to me. The girl they picked, oh heck yes, that is Bella. Gaspard I don't really care one way or the other about. When he's not smiling he looks cute, but when he smiles, he kinda creeps me out. But the inner Harry Potter nerd in me will always go "heehee Cedric" when Robert Pattinson shows up on screen as Edward. There's nothing for it, really.

You need to read some of the other comments to your secret, really read them and make an effort to separate the wheat from the incendiary chaff. Most of them have already pointed out the falsities in your claim, and while I can see where you're coming from, there's a glaring problem in your rhetorics. While it's true that there are workers being victimized as a result of the WGA strike, this is an unfortunate but unavoidable side affect, and not in anyway "punishment" as you've claimed.

The writers are only fighting for what's rightfully theirs, and you shouldn't assume that people who support their right to do so (and why shouldn't fans be supportive of writers, who have contributed so much to the quality of their lives?) are blind to the plight of the smaller players. A douchebaggish way of putting it would be "the price of progress", but what can you do? Pressuring studios into negotiating would be a start. They are the employers, getting the biggest slice of the pie -- it's their attitude that's punishing everyone.

21. Call Miyazaki and Urasawa, they've been making porn for decades and the poor saps don't even have a clue!

See, there's nothing wrong with disliking anime or manga or being frustrated at its prevalence on Livejounal. But it's not fair to throw all of it into the "furry/robot porn" category and immediately dismiss all of it as nothing but drivel with no artistic or intellectual value. Doing so would be the same as refusing to acknowledge the artistic and intellectual merit of movies or Western graphic novels, both of which have produced some amazing pieces of art.

Also, I don't know what F!S you're reading, but as someone who isn't really in TV/movie/book fandom, I scroll by plenty of secrets each day that I don't get. :/

13. This is the fucking best secret of all time. I know perfectly well what you're talking about, and honestly, the presentation of it is just plain cool. Even if I don't quite agree with it, because I ship both of them equally.
