You know, I bet if it's the actors that were striking, everyone would rally behind them because they're the big faces. But no, it's the writers, who no one knows, so people feel entitled.

Here is a shitty comparison. Let's say you write a book. The book sells for, oh, I don't know, $6 in local bookstores. You get a very small percentage of these fees. Then, suddenly, e-books become the next Big Thing. And your publisher is marketing yours online without even consulting with you first, and the concept was never discussed in your contract. And, btw, you're not getting any of the proceeds for the online marketing.

Don't you have a right to be angry?




And it would be a lot easier to take you seriously if you didn't think they were making $100k+. Jesus christ do some fucking research.

Not!Secret: I imagine all those things had something to do with it, and would like to add that 1. the canon is complete; 2. it became impossible to find scanlations or even translations of the new chapters, and it's easy to lose interest in something you can't read in your native language and can only keep up with via recaps; and 3. to be honest, the fandom was never all that awesome to begin with.

Second of all, most writer do not make 100k a year. Are you assuming that because they are "Hollywood" they make a whole bunch of money? They don't.

Torn tops, except when Erol manages to get him really, REALLY drunk. Erol's the one that leaves scratches and bite marks and bruises all over, though, so it balances out. There's also almost no kissing whatsoever, and not a whole lot of touchyfeelie. Basically, they put up with each other during the day and sleep together/beat the crap out of each other during the night.

Dysfunctional? Yes. Romantic? No.

...Still better than Torn and Ashelin to me, though. The woman is so bipolar I don't think poor Torn would know whether he was allowed to kiss her before bed or expect a kick in the chest. At least Erol would be nice and consistent.
