And that's another thing, why is it you cater exclusively to the named users? Anons though not be made to feel like 2nd class citizens on an anon community. You'll drop the hammer if a name feels uncomfortable, but if people are just insulting anons then you'll let them run riot. I've had so much abuse from the named users as an anon and you always ignore it. Fuck you. If you are going to play the mod, then the least you can do is be impartial and ignore whether it is a name or an anon. Stop making it about your ego not wanting to admit you were wrong. If you are going to cater to the names and ignore the anons, on a fucking anon community, then just turn off the anon commenting, period. Either that or go all anon. Actually, do that. Come on, call a straight up vote. All anon or all logged, and no more mixed since you cannot enforce that equally. There is a poll for you if you've got the balls for it. Come on, do it. The gif secrets were linked due to a request from a person with epilepsy/seizures. People did have gif icons at the time, but they weren't mentioned (I think the smaller size made them easier to ignore, while the big secrets kind of popped up as soon as they opened the post)

You do realize that people who genuinely have epilepsy alter the settings on their computer to avoid seeing triggering images. That was another concern troll getting the rules changed to create more trouble. You were had, Case.

Besides jaybie's case, it's pretty obvious that it's multiple anons fed up with a user's bullshit. They've just made it seem like it's just one anon because that's how they win argumenting, by dismissing every complaint as a dumb stalker anon.

From what I can see, the one significant difference in nodding around names and anon is when it comes to stalking - but that's something that anon don't deal with and that's also really quite bad. But I am sorry you feel treated unfairly.

I don't cater to them exclusively! The problem is that anon itself is a double-edged sword - I can't exactly tell which anon is you all the time, so there's no way for me to tell whether someone is stalking you around to harass. There's also no way any user could be intentionally stalking you around to harass you, since you're anon and they too have no idea who you are.

I'd always thought that was a given - everyone has the option to go anon (and take the "can't be recognized" merit in exchange for the "can't be recognized" flaw) or make an account (it takes 5 minutes) and those that go one way are opting to go that way. No one is forcing you to stay anon!

Regarding the spoiler thing, I had no stance on it, so I'm not really sure what egos have to do with that. I went with what most people voted for, and that was for the spoiler rule. Could you specify what I could have done correctly or incorrect there, besides maybe a counting mistake (but if I recall correctly there was a significant difference, like 6-8 votes)?

It wasn't just one anon. I wasn't happy with the ruling either and it's still frustrating that case is selective about what qualifies as a spoiler without explaining his reasoning.

Bullshit, you saw the option for more control and took it. You always make up your mind before running a vote, and interpret the results to support that decision anyway. Now come on, all anon or all logged in. Put it to a vote. No third way, show us you have at least that shred of honor and stick to that principle. Already you try to weasel out of it. This is a small fandom community on Dreamwidth, remember? If I wanted a kingdom to lord over, I'd demand at least a bit more scale!

I really don't see a reason a poll is necessary for all anon or all logged in (or why we have to move that way at all), or why the third option needs to be ignored there (as this is not as simple as 'yes spoilers' or 'no spoilers'). Like I said, if you would like to give up the merit of "cannot be recognized" in order to drop the flaw of "cannot be recognized" you're free to do so.

And I guess I can tell you as many times as you like that control has nothing to do with it but if you don't believe me then that's that, so I'll stop repeating myself now.
