I'd be all over that series if only I could. The country I live in never aired it, it was never released on DVD (or VHS that would work on my region-coded VCR), and I can't even seem to find it online. It sucks, because I've wanted to see it for years.

There used to be a site that posted a new episode every week, but I just checked it for the first time in forever, and it's apparently now defunct as the series will be released on DVD in the UK in 2008.

Barring that, there's a guy who's been making DVDs of it for years. He'd collected the highest quality VHS eps that he could and made them into DVDs. And all he charged was the cost of the DVDs and the shipping. But in light of the official release coming soon (!!), you may not be interested in that.

1. A friend of a friend is the type to sit there and read through a whole series and it bugs the hell out of me. I also hate getting dirty looks if I want to see the section they're blocking. (especially since the bookstore I go to is big and has places where people are welcome to sit, damn it).

The funny thing is I also avoid people camping out in the manga aisle but for different reasons, either because I think either I’ll disturb them or because they’ll notice what I’m picking and try to strike up a conversation with me (which I wouldn’t really mind, except that I’m a babbling idiot if a stranger unexpectedly talks to me. XD;;;)

1. Don't establish a pattern. I guess 'building a better world' wouldn't be the precise wording because I'd do my best to make them look like accidents/coincidences, whatnot. Make it look more like prayers are answered as opposed to straight-up divine retribution.

2. If I do manage to get sloppy enough to be noticed? Never taunt the police or give them acknowledgment. I suppose that'd be the big difference there. I don't like attention and prefer to remain anonymous whenever possible, while letting his ego get in the way was Light's first step on his downfall.

3. On that thread - never lose sight of my original goals. By the end, was he even killing criminals anymore? I'd stick to the big'uns, anyway. Petty theft? Who gives a shit, you don't know the kind of situation that person is in, maybe they're left with no other options. I'd take out people like the Green River Killer, people who even a lot of pacifists will quietly agree deserves capital punishment but have managed to worm their way out of it through holes in the legal system. In general I'd let the law handle things, and just 'pick up after them' if their hands are tied. My sin is Sloth, not Pride, so I don't see leaving a lot of things to the proper authorities being a problem for me ("I'd do it, but... my pen is all the way over there... eh, I'll wait until the trail, at least.")

In my own defense, I liked Suzaku even before he got the cape (and not for "omg he is so hot"). The cape is just a sexy bonus.

I do agree that the old pilot uniform was better. Black, white, and gold with clean and simple lines and emblems? CLASSY. Mmmm. I would even hazard to say that it is the best mecha uniform I have seen. (The orange service uniform, though? *barf*)

1. I don't know. I have never been really asked that by people who squat by the manga section, the only thing that bothers them is that they are usually always sitting in front of what I want.

9. I love the whole concept in making that secret. I find the sea gulls the funniest thing from that movie, so that just made me laugh.

You know, a lot of people want that ideal world where the is no murder, rape, crime, however, I think the root of it wasn't what he was trying to achieve, just that that ideal would never be reached through that method in the first place, and that was sort of the point. I don't know, but all Light does was building a society based in fear. Light was wrong all around.
