More rich people who aren't assholes. I grew up with a lot of rich kids, and while it's definitely a different environment, they're not all little turds.

Personally I love characters like Charlotte LeBeBouff from Princess and the Frog and other spoiled sweet types.

If you want positive representations of the rich check every single aspirational television show and then virtually every primetime drama.

I'm replying above too, but I'd like more representation of wealthy minorities. It's always rich white people, it's a little depressing that whenever someone says rich, it's assumed white.

More Arab people where religion isn't a big part of their character

Bi characters who actually and explicitly label themselves as bi, who don't later "change their mind", who don't give out the "I don't like labels!!!" speech.

People with Asperger's who aren't misunderstood super genius sorts, or who are super knowledgeable in areas other than math and science.

Aspies who aren't portrayed like Sheldon from Big Bang. Self conscious, polite and sweet Aspies who are more like people I have met in real life.

Asexuals who have deep non romantic relationships with their platonic friends.

Or an asexual and a sexual person in a relationship that shows more to a romantic relationship than sex? Maybe they have an open marriage or something.

An asexual female YA protagonist.

Working college professors are astoundingly normal. They're all terrified of certain other professors finding out they're subscribed to cable but they then go home and watch the NFL game and read popular fiction.

It's a job, dudes. They're pretty much as normal as the teachers at your high school. Some are dicks, some are sweethearts. They're just also smart and don't hide nerdy interests.

Healthy, functional friendships between men and other men, women and other women, men and women, etc. where people are supportive, don't tear each other down or enforce horrible stereotypes and gender roles, things like that.

trans characters who don't get murdered, aren't sex workers, and who don't spend the canon timeline transitioning or angsting about transitioning

Women who are more butch or masculine as the main character, with or without romance with another main male or female charcter.

Gay characters who aren't instantly defined by how gay they are. And gay canon endings that weren't already explicitly "gay", like Legend of Korra.

Wheelchair users who aren't just paraplegics after accidents.

I mean, any disabled representation is awesome, but everyone who uses a wheelchair has different physical capabilities.

Anyone who uses mobility aids, or medical devices, or has a known chronic condition.

I guess if you want a bunch of pretty characters, you only want them to be temporarily sick for dramatic tension, but otherwise healthy because healthy = attractive?
Still, how awesome would it be to see a badass character with an insulin pump or something. I remember feeling so much better as a kid about wearing my glasses because Harry wears glasses.

Sprawling polycules to counteract the image of couple + 1. Ethical non-monogamy and none of that love triangle crap.
