I'm sitting here reading a book, enjoying it, all the while the nagging feeling that I'm being tricked is worrying away at me.

Like I'm "Shit I like this character i wonder what will happen next wi wonder if she will interact with that other character and when is this author going to kill her off for cheap drama leaving me depressed and unable to read any more?" I do want suspense and tension, but don't want the soul crushing sense of dread I get whenever I watch or read or play something, so it might be time to get out. But get out into where? The dread doesn't diminish in real life, and without media to consume I don't have more more going on.

Diversity in Hollywood

So how come when hollywood wants diversity in movies it just means mainly Black representation? There are many minorities in USA but only blacks = diversity. Movie with homosexual or transexual main character that is not about homosexuality and transexuality never?

Babysitting Help

I babysit for two lovely girls (8 & 10), and there is only one problem I have when I babysit them. Their entire house utterly reeks. It's not outwardly dirty, but there is mold in several places in their house, and I am allergic. To the point where I take extra allergy pills when I'll be there a while and I immediately have to shower in hot, hot water when I get home to get rid of the smell. It even makes me gag sometimes.

Basically, what can I do about the smell issue? I've thought about taking them to my house, but I'm pretty sure their parents would ask a lot of questions as to why I want to go to my house. Should I make a sachet? Perfume? Any good allergy-prevention tricks? Thanks!

a Therapy Question

Seriously discussing my issues gets me down, I start to cry and I hate opening up. However I have an opportunity to start therapy the next year and I think it might help me with a lack of motivation and anxiety. So my question is there a way to make therapy less personal and hurt less?

If you want to see diversity

fucking support minority creators

don't complain about mainstream entertainment not supporting diversity, but definition they are going to do what appeals to the most amount of people

if you don't like that, then don't fucking support them

it's not like the creators are all that diverse themselves, they're only doing it because people are upset that there's not diversity in their, not out of some form of goodwill

entertainment is optional, so you don't have the excuse that you have to support them, like shitty companies who have monopoly on certain necessary goods

expecting the mainstream to cater your nonmainstream wants is ridiculous

find the stuff that you want to support and support them or shut your face

because the mainstream is never going to go against the mainstream
