Just my style -

The QC on Mattel dolls is getting ridiculously bad. I shouldn't have a dirty new toy when I take out the packaging, but distribution is so bad here that if I don't buy it immediately, I might not see it in person ever again.

I got 3/4 Kung Fu Panda Funkos so far. I wish the leaked image had come to frutition and we got the other four characters, but it's okay...not sure why we needed Po With a Hat.

I collect Penguins of Madagascar toys. In my opinion, you can never have too many penguin figures. My favourite ones are the ones that can roll or throw things around!

Also, I'm still bummed that two years later we're still getting new Frozen dolls but we never had a Big Hero 6 line. Action figures were too small and badly sculpted; I wanted barbie and ken-like dolls for the whole team!

I just built some bigger Lego sets I got for Xmas. My reviews:

The Jurassic World I-Rex pen is good except that it's too small for the I-Rex itself. She can't fit through the gate; her hips are too wide. BUT, the little sphere-ride is AMAZING. They manage to keep the Lego figure inside upright as it spins like in the movie, and if you're on a hard surface, it keeps rolling for a really long time.

Scooby Doo Mansion - the greenhouse is cute but the real selling point is the huge pendulum booby trap. You have to do it manually but it's very cool looking.

Ultra Agents sea platform - I really like the cyber shark; it's much larger than the standard Lego shark. There's also a really creative harpoon feature on the boat that impressed me. I've really liked the designs for the villains in this theme.

Underrated Episodes of TV Shows

I'm rewatching Buffy again, and realizing that Restless (The season 4 episode where everyone has weird foreshadowy dreams) is just such a fantastic hour of television, but it doesn't tend to make peoples' top ten lists due to technically not being a very action packed or plot-forwarding episode.

So, guys, how about you? What's one of your favorite episodes of TV that people usually don't talk about when giving examples of favorites?

Am I the only one who wishes secrets were posted a bit earlier on the weekends? I just feel like by the time they're posted, often Saturday nights I'm getting ready to go somewhere, and if I'm not, it means I have to cook dinner. Sunday nights are kind of similar - it's around the time I finish getting ready for the week. Whereas on weeknights I'm avoiding talking to people because I was at work all day.

Anyone else?

Overrated Episodes

New TV Series

So I watched the first Shadowhunters episode (I know, I know), but I really only watched it to see how Harry Shum compared to Godfrey Gao as Magnus. I'm feeling like he doesn't quite have that same 'I've lived forever' presence that Godfrey does, but he's not bad.

However, I feel like nearly every other actor except the mom and Isabelle were terrible. Even though the movie kind of sucked, at least I liked the actors. Is it because it's a TV show and they went with low budget newbies? Is it the writing? I have no idea.

Anything else new that someone started watching and was disappointed with?

(I started watching Colony too and am feeling kind of meh about it for now. However, I can't wait for new Lucifer, the pilot was amazing.)

So this is weird and probably confusing, but I have no one else to share it with.

There's this show I watched years ago. After a few seasons I just lost interest, but told myself that when it ended I'd go back and watch the seasons I hadn't seen. And that was my plan, until I came across a comment on Reddit semi-recently. Someone said something along the lines of "hey, didn't it suck that [basic fact of the show's universe, that the entire show was essentially based on] ended up not being true?" which made me say "WHAAAAAAAAAAT" out loud and pretty much killed any interest I had in watching the rest of the show, as that aspect was the main thing that made me like the show in the first place.

There've been a few spinoffy things to be released/announced recently, so the original show has been in the media a lot more lately. And there has been not one reference to the thing that the person on Reddit mentioned. I kind of get that "official" sources wouldn't want to mention this thing since it would be a major spoiler (and maybe would make some people lose interest) but even on random fan sites, everyone is acting like this thing never happened. I haven't been specifically seeking out info about it, but with as much as I'm online and as many media/TV/fandom related sites I regularly visit, I feel like I'd have seen more than one reference to this thing if it actually happened. It would be such a huge deal that I feel like it's something people would be talking about when the show was mentioned but no one's said anything about it that I've seen.

So now I'm wondering if the person on Reddit was just trolling and said the most "shocking" thing they could think of or if I just dreamed the whole thing or something. Or maybe everything I've seen online since that initial reference has been just people being super careful about avoiding spoilers, and it did happen. I don't know, but I feel like I'm going crazy since now I'm not 100% sure if I even ever read that comment or not. :(

(I know I'm being vague here, but I don't want to spoil someone else or get accidentally spoiled again myself if it turns out it did happen because now I'm thinking it didn't and kind of wanting to go back and watch those seasons I didn't see.)
