48. I didn't find Mello hot until after he got half his face melted off and his hair all messed up. Up till then, I was just in love with his insanity.

Mello would be so badass as a female character.

71. Near's great. He just has too many of the same personality/behavioral traits as I do (though I am nowhere close to his level of intelligence), and I don't find that as interesting as flamboyant characters, like Mello.

That's kind of like saying that people (male or female) that hide their gender online in order to be accepted into one area of the internet are part of the problem. Obviously, I'm not talking about the predators that pose as teenage girls/boys -- more like the girls that pass as guys to be accepted into gaming circles or the guys that pose as girls to write femslash. Sometimes, it's really, really hard to come right out and say it because you'll be basically kicked out of the group, and while then there's the whole idea of "well then find a different group, duh," that's not as easy as it sounds. Especially when you're close friends with the people in that group.

41. Well, it happens in a manga that the heavy majority of the cast is male. The only pairing I liked in Death Note was Matsuda/Saya (how pissed I am that it will never happen) when I was reading it. 4chan corrupted me into like Gevanni/Near months after I finished the series. But I find that most DN doujins are more tolerate of they're parodies or really, really dark. I don't see the Matt/Mello pairing either.

42. I admit that I felt bad for Plantkon sometimes when he fails at getting the secret formula. But didn't he gotten it once in the movie? But that little dude was one of the reasons I adored Spongebob back in college.

46. And there's nothing wrong of expressing your pairing as romantic or sexual either. Seriously, if you want more shit like that, WRITE IT YOURSELF AND STOP BITCHING ABOUT IT. Shit will not get done if you huff and puff about it. Plus, you're not obligated to read it. Shock, isn't it?

Well, even if the Coordinators were super smart and shit, billions of Naturals > a few million of Coordinators (I even doubt there's 60 million of them since they were worried about the race dying off each passing generation). But seriously. the Coordinators should've won that war easy. LOL, oh well. The SEED saga was full of bad wriitng, from the characters to the story. Just everything. Which is unforunate, since the premise and how the characters were so promising and it just failed EPICLY. SEED DESTINY has to be the worst Gundam installment ever. SEED was horrible as well, I still regret watching it, but as soon as I saw DESTINY following the same fail, I shut off (I stupidly gave the franchise a second chance).

At least, it made me a TM Revolution fan, had fantastic music and the doujins from it are better than the damn show and that's sad. I'm glad 00 is slowly making it unpopular after 5 years of reign. Ugh.

71. Even though Near's MOEness is nice, I LOVED Near because he was a ruthless bastard. He got shit done because he didn't hesitiate. Alot of people are pissed what he did when he wasn't even guilty party, Mikami was.

21. I agree -- though I probably shouldn't talk, given that I was dripping insecurity re: CFUD all over the place just recently. I'm in a better place now, though, and I hope to stay there... because really, nothing you do for fun should feel so stressful.

I agree with this, too, at least to some extent. None of my RP characters is in a romantic relationship in-game (not that I wouldn't be open to it, it just hasn't come up so far), and they still have/have had some relationships that I really enjoy. The sometimes-unlikely friendships that spring up are as much fun as any OTP.

That said, if people enjoy writing/RPing romance, far be it from me to tell them to stop doing it. I mean, I can definitely understand frustration with the fact that fandom is mainly romance-focused (and when RPs become nothing but relationship drama and/or thinly veiled excuses for characters to have sex, it's really annoying). But this does sound dangerously close to "stop doing what you enjoy, because I don't enjoy it!" which is one of my fandom pet peeves.

This is the real reason I have trouble watching the more recent seasons. I love Vala dearly (Cam, not so much)... but Claudia and Ben will always and forever be John and Aeryn to me.

It makes my brain hurt especially hard because all I can think of when I watch it is a (quite well done) Stargate/Farscape crossover fic I read once.

16 - Awww...don't feel bad, I remember when I first read the book, I ended up crying when I realized what happened to them--to them all really, but I felt an extra pang for them because they had just found each other. :(

18 - I understand, and at the same time, I'd still be ok enough, since she's 5 and I don't have a problem disciplining kids reasonably. Then again, I've had practice--I was the oldest cousin first--11 years later, I got to be a big sister too. X_X

37 - See, I'm just the opposite. Batshit shippers shouldn't be in charge of ANYTHING. Oh my god, I know!! Well, a lot of the old characters came back, but I actually found myself disliking that a lot (unless it was Haseo). I mostly mean Endrance. Endrance seriously bothers me, I really don't think that would happen to Elk, but whatever.
