30. LOL, you find out the Comedian dies on, like, the second page of the comic, so I don't think it's that much of a spoiler! He just appears in flashbacks.

I worry that with the movie, we're going to get an influx of craptastic Watchmen fic from people who haven't even read it. :(

I agree. I walked around in a daze after reading it because there was so much to think about. It may sound sad, but seriously, that was how much I was like 'woah".

Once people see the movie, they won't read the comic, simple as. I don't think you can write a fic based solely on the movie becuase the movie will have to leave out a lot of the debate in the novel, or (cringe) they're gonna dumb it down for easier digestion - which fingers crossed they don't do because I'm always optimistic and am still looking forward to watching it.

What I'm REALLY scared about is that people are gonna ship the characters together. I love slash and porn, even the bad stuff if I'm honest...but Watchmen is so not the source material for that.
