I don't believe in assigning foods to different times of the day. I don't think my stomach cares what time it is. I had chicken and rice for breakfast this morning and I'm making eggs for dinner.

I don't like eating steak unless it is the "shitty" kind without any fat. I'll happily put the steak juice on potatoes though.

milk is disgusting and will kill you immediately (this might be OCD talking)

almost all food is better slightly under or overcooked

I often think it's kind of a chore, if that makes sense? Sure, sometimes I crave certain foods or I can really enjoy a meal, but usually it's just something I have to do to not die. I don't get the fuss. It's why I don't have the patience for cooking either. If the act of eating food barely interests me, making it definitely doesn't. People can get weird if I tell them this.

Both my husband and boyfriend are cooks, and I think the most horrified face I got out of both of them at the same time was when I said I wished there was just a full-nutrition people chow, like you give pets, so I wouldn't have to worry.

How authentic food is has barely any relation to how good it is, and a lot of truly 'authentic' food is basically inedible and born of a history where food was far harder to come by then it is now.

It's not even remotely difficult to eat well.

It's also not that difficult to maintain a healthy weight, provided you ~GET OFF YOUR ASS~*

*And haven't already completely fucked your metabolism by yo-yo dieting in the past, or have metabolic problems, etc.

Evidence: there is not a soul in any of the running clubs I've been in over the years who has been there for more than a year who is heavily overweight, even if they out started that way. The trick is that you actually have to keep doing it.

What everyone else calls "mushy", I call "just right".
