Do you headcanon tunes for songs you see written in books?

You know how sometimes books will have the lyrics of a song in it, and might describe something about how the song sounds like (like, sorrowful, haunting, jolly, fast, slow, etc), but of course, being a book, you don't know what the actual tune is?

Well, when this happens, does the song you see written down just sound like a spoken poem in your head, or does your brain supply a tune for the song? And if it supplies a tune, is it a made-up tune or a tune for an existing RL song?

I always hear a spoken poem in my head, but a friend of mine mentioned that when she heard "Misty Mountains Cold" in the trailer for The Hobbit, she was kind of jarred because her mental version of the tune of that song when she read the book was very different. So I got curious.
