N!S 4 - Try the episodic games. They are amazing. The game is funny, graphically beautiful, and absolutely full of batshit crazyness and social commentary.

Though "Bright Side of the Moon" was absolute shit, especially after "Reality 2.0" and "Abe Lincoln Must Die".

03. I sometimes do, too. Luckily, not being a fanbrat means that my writing and characterization have at least improved a little. Conversely, when I was still a fanbrat, I didn't really care that my writing was crap, as long as I got reviews. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

43. I dunno. It is quite a mystery. I suspect it has something to do with Izzy perhaps being perceived as more asexual, and therefore less slashable. (I say this as a person who is fond of slash.)

48. I am seriously getting tired about people complaining how AJ caused such a big rift in the fandom. Different people have different opinions on the game. Just because not every shares the same opinion doesn't mean the fandom is ruined. Some people didn't like AJ and had valid complaints. There's nothing wrong with that: it's FANDOM, a place to express your opinion. Just because you thought the game was great doesn't mean everyone else does. And just like your entitled to praise it, they're entitled to criticize it.

Honestly? I love them all. It's an ensemble thing. And I've seen hate being spouted at all of them in turn. From Ianto being called flat and boring, Gwen being a vapid bitch, Owen being the evil rapist, Tosh being dull and emo, and Jack being an airheaded Stu. Flawed, hell yes. But worthy of death fantasies and such whining about pairing evidence and such junk?

I used to be shy about feedbacking on fics I'd read, but everyone was so nice. And when I began writing my own fic, I finally realized how much feedback - even a few words - means to an author.

And it's really easy to make friends in the SGA fandom. We're a pretty cracky, happy group!

In retrospect, Izzy would probably be my favorite character if I watched it, fresh eyes, right now. I mean, nerd boy with occasional snark? Yesplz. But, then, I was one of those boys who wanted to be the "Red Ranger" when I watched it the first time, so Tai was my favorite, of course.

Izzy's a badass, though. BOW TO THE PINEAPPLE.

I'd argue that they have a long way to go before they'll beat the batshit of the HP, GW or (possibly most of all) BtVS fandoms back in their heyday. The standards of epic fandom stupidity, wank and batshittery those fandoms set will be pretty hard to ever reach.
