What makes that Kristoph Gavin a good take on him is that it's not NECESSARY for Kristoph to be one-dimensional MANIPULATIVE BASTARD-- his manipulative side just has not come into play in gaming yet.

He's been through different circumstances, a different past, a different outcome. It'd be unrealistic to expect him to develop exactly in a way that Kristoph Gavin from the OG did. I can see your point, but look at the circumstances that led up to him becoming like that. @_@ It's AU, for god's sake.

I agree. I have threaded with the Kris in question in RP and there is a LOT going on under the surface that has not yet come to the fore IMO. I eagerly await the developments in the future, especially because I know the mun plays one of the most deliciously evil Kristophs I have seen in another Comm.

61: I agree that Metis is a dick. But I like him anyway. The difference being that I look at Metis and see myself, as I was when I was a teenager -- not that we had "jocks" or "emos" in my school, but I did hang out with an "alternative" crowd and I thought that made me better than everyone else. I feel kind of indulgent to Metis because I assume that he's going to grow out of it, not least because he's falling for someone who doesn't fit his stereotype of what a worthwhile person is. I don't think you're giving the HoneySyn creators enough credit; I always thought a large part of the point of the series is that the stereotypes are false and stupid. Of course, it's always possible that I'm giving them too much credit... but I've been pretty satisfied so far.

Honestly because it was a lot easier. Like I told someone else, I didn't feel like I had to justify pairings I liked back then (not that I HAVE to, it just sort of feels like I have to, even if it's just to myself). Writing was easier too; as a fanbrat/fangirl I didn't worry about characterization and such but now, even if I'm doing a story just for me and not showing anyone, I'm worrying a lot more about how realistic it is and such things.

Bisexuals exist, and in many varying degrees, from about equally divided between men and women to preferring one sex but liking a few special people from the other as well. Besides, in the end, it's just love. Or infatuation, or friendship, or in the case of a character, fangirling. Why does it matter to you, if you're not involved?

I never understood what the big deal about any character's sexuality was to begin with. Who honestly cares if a character is played as gay or not so long as the player is enjoying themselves? Half of role-playing is the player's perceptions of the character and so long as you're happy with how you play him people should accept it and move on.
