Mmm, maybe it's only because I've written HoneySyn fic before so I'm more likely to raise my eyebrows at this secret, but how is that any different from writing fic for currently running shows like Supernatural, or House, or Reborn!, or most series? It's an amateur comic, true, but it's extraordinarily well done in my opinion. So I don't see why people shouldn't write fic just because it's currently in-progress. Most fic out there is for series that are currently running, aren't they?

61. lds;fjs what's up with the HoneySyn secrets lately? Um, first of all: the comic itself never makes light of any specific group. May does, of course, but it's shown that he's wrong. And yeah, he's a jerk sometimes, but it is warranted, you know; getting punched in the face for what is, for all purposes, a very small reason is definitely grounds for acting the jerk, in my opinion. Plus, May gets past it, grows as a person, etc. The comic - or its fans - never say that the emo kid (which both HoneySyn and May make a clear point of saying that Metis is not) is somehow more subject to angst than any other group. Hell, I'd argue that Josh angsts more than anyone else does, and he's the 'jock.' HoneySyn's about surpassing social boundaries, and the characters therein do so. And maybe it was only my school, but HoneySyn isn't as outlandish as you seem to think. So while there's no problem with someone disliking it, I just don't see how your points are valid.

I think the most confusing part of that secret is where they argue that the "emo" kid is usually the "meaner of the two" and that's why the cliche plots suck...then they go off on Metis for being a jerk. Isn't that...what you want to see from the dynamic? *boggles*

16. I feel it's the opposite. Fandom is the safe place that people explore this stuff. It may turn out later that these girls who want to be boys or girls who think that they're lesbians are just your average straight girl, but at least they got it off their chest in fandom instead of having some sort of major identity crisis. Fandom is the place where they feel comfortable enough to explore it.

The breeder shit on the other hand. Got no excuse for that. I don't care for children either but hating them is too extreme. I'm just gonna blame it on people not growing up. They hate kids because they still are kids in their heads.
