It's not even the weather. The cold is annoying, but I have a nice coat and a heating pad.

No, what I really hate is it being dark all the time. I laid down for a quick nap at 3 PM, woke up at 5 PM, and it was fully dark outside, which totally fucks with my internal clock. I miss sunlight...

Weekend Plans!

It is going to below thirty (high of 19 on Sunday!) all weekend so I'll be staying indoors. Probably going to play a lot of Overwatch to try and get some holiday stuff. Other than that, nothing else if I can help it.

Migraines

I've had a migraine all week and tonight it got worse. Distracting myself on FS has helped. I can't lay down without it intensifying and nauseating me so I can't sleep. I'm supposed to be up in 6 hours for karate class and I know I won't be able to go, either because I'll finally be sleeping off this pain or because I'll be in too much pain to go. I'm bummed because it's the last class of the year and it was supposed to be my return after a knee injury two months ago. I could have really done with a bumper class so I'm not too out of practice when training resumes in January. By then I'll have been on break from karate longer than I practiced it. All the stress and resentment about missing karate just makes my migraine worse. Thinking makes it worse. But I can't stop and can't sleep and can't take any more meds.

tl;dr migraines suck.

What are your holiday season woes?

I was having a day, not bad or good but just a day, kind of long, it's dark early and I was woken up early (cat demanded I shut off the rain like a good human and got really pissed when it kept raining no matter how loud he yelled at me) so I was looking forward to sleeping early tonight. And someone said something that was probably not meant entirely maliciously, in fact they probably thought they were helping me, and now I feel like shit. Stupid brain. Stupid not-really-friend for setting my brain off. Oh well. My bed's still here and it's warm so hopefully I can sleep this depressive blip off.
