Like, I get that South Asians who watch the movie would complain about technical accuracy, but it still seems excessively petty to make that kind of complaint as part of a rant about cultural appropriation.

I don't ship Pearl/Greg or Pewey, but I HC Pearl as pansexual but highly selective. There's absolutely no evidence that she needs to be a lesbian instead of that, and anyone who talks about lesbian erasure just needs to stop projecting themselves. Pearl isn't you.
