I just read a small article on a Polish wood cutting machine. I read almost the entire damn thing before realizing 'Polish' was being used a nationality as opposed to a polish (to make something shiny).

At work, when I kept asking the others about what I should do regarding different customer service issues instead of looking them up.

We had a customer come in at work when none of the customer people were in. I had the most knowledge of the stuff we sell. I was able to find the stuff but I had no idea how to use the register. Luckily, it was a repeat customer and SHE walked me through it.

Amazon Subscribe & Save

Curious here, I use Amazon's "subscribe & save" program to have an item sent to me every month. I'm using it for protein powder because I use it every day, makes sense to have an automatic program for it. I know I can save more (well according to Amazon at least) if I have more items sent to every month (or at my choosing, maybe not send it one month). But for the life of me I can't think of anything I would use it for.

So my curiosity says, does anyone else use this program? Or something of a similar nature? What do you use it for? (as I finish this I have a feeling it's contacts or medications..., neither of which I have a need for!)

Is it ever too late in the day to nap?

First there's the serving the crew toast - which he calls "Flame roasted" toast - Dry, toast, btw. A single slice. Then there was announcing that he's "come up" with a new recipe... after I bought him a new recipe book. But now he has "come up" with another new recipe... After being served a plate of chips in a restaurant (french fries if you're a disgusting fucking colonial).

Why are you our fucking cook? Are you even a cook? Have you even eaten before? What kind of cook is he if he hadn't even seen chips before?

Captain America: Civil War

So, I just watched this on Netflix, finally, and...

...I didn't think it was very good. It didn't make a lot of sense and was unfulfilling the entire time. I didn't get why each Avenger chose whichever side, it seemed totally arbitrary. There were too many characters packed into it that made the "civil war" in question feel like flash without substance. Even the Iron Man/Captain America thing felt a little uninspired. The premise of the UN wanted to regulate them made sense and the beginning with showing how much damage they cause and all, but I mean, it kind of felt like that was just the initial justification for this weird Bucky drama, who aside from ~dramatic backstory~ isn't actually that interesting and doesn't generate an awful lot of sympathy. I get that Captain America wants to do the right thing, but it doesn't make much sense why he's choosing Bucky over his friends, when the logical thing would be make the cool-headed decision to keep Bucky incarcerated since he is self-admitted to be unstable and dangerous in a way that he can't control. The entire rest of the cast, I don't get why they'd betray their camaraderie, the film never justified it.

The only good thing about it was Spiderman, he was fucking adorable. Too bad he was only recruited for film publicity, since the movie wouldn't have been any different without him since he only existed for a single fight scene.

Honestly, I hate to say it, but I feel underwhelmed by most superhero films these days, Marvel or DC. Which is a shame, because I really like the genre - or at least, I think I do, I've been a big fan since I was a little kid. It just feels like it's been a long time since I've thought there's been a really good plot with an interesting cast. I think this one had too big of a cast and too weak a premise to be successful.

I wanted to like it, but so far the only "full cast" move I've really liked was the first Avengers movie, and maybe that's because it felt like more time was spent on each character's motivations. Though I've always been kind of tired of Iron Man in particular hogging the spotlight.
