I've read Les Bijoux! It has some of the most beautiful art in any series, ever. I just think it was a shame it was limited to five volumes; if the story had had room to actually fill in all that plot that got implied, it could've been really amazing.

BioMeat : Nectar. It's a survival horror manga about a group of kids trying to survive a massive breakout of creepy monsters that were developed as easily produced meat, since they would breed from eating anything except glass or metal. The first part has them as kids, but the second has them as teenagers with much more badass personalities and slightly fucked-up mindsets of someone who obviously learned to survive far too early.

8. I have been wondering something similar about myself, but the other way around.
Don't know the other two, but Maya, I probably wouldn't have grown to like so much if it wasn't for the way fandom treats her like shit. Maybe this is just what fandom is all about, it forces you to choose sides and doesn't allow you to stay indifferent about a character.
And I think a lot of Maya bashing is soaked with racism and sexism, and I'd rather die than side with racists.

I don't want to side with racists and sexists either, but I don't feel the need to defend or like a badly written character in order to avoid that. There was almost no good writing in S2; the only thing I liked about it was Nathan and the shotgun. But at least the characters from S1 had been written well before, and could therefore hold my attention.

4 - I was going to say there's a Mello/Near comm, but if you're not into DN pairings in general... With me, I like them as long as the fics don't play it as TWU LUV.

8 - I do sometimes wonder if fandom affected my opinion of Maya. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have liked her anyways. (I do like Sylar/Maya mindfuckery though.)

17 - I really don't understand Anne Rice anymore. But the books were getting more purple prose-y as they went on, so maybe it's good she stopped writing them.

18 - But Soubi is so screwed up! And he's more Ritsuka-focused than 12-year old focused. orz fandom

23 - Ahahaha, funniest secret in the batch. (I think genitalia in general is not aesthetically pleasing, but there's a difference between pure aesthetics and sexual interest.)

37 - Fred/Wesley was my OTP too. (Even if I also liked Fred/Gunn and Lilah/Wesley.)

38 - I don't like incest fic because I think it denies the extreme emotional issues that generally come with incest. I don't think that siblings and sex should go together. (...but then I read Flowers in the Attic so. But the characters are pretty fucked up in that.)

I tend to have issues with dubcon and noncon because I think RAPE is morally wrong. I usually feel a little disturbed when people comment that straight out noncon is "hot".

...I just don't want to read about furries because that's not my thing. And suicide fic generally seems to be done by melodramatic adolescents listening to Evanescence.

58 - I've seen the phrase "gender-blind" a twice in the last few days. Do you mean gender-blind as in characters you pair together? Because I think there's a huge difference between viewing characters as pansexual and being gender-blind in general. I think people should be seen as a person first and their gender/ethnicity/sexuality/etc after that, but I don't think people's differences and their experiences with those differences should be denied all together.

I used to think they were pretty damned gross looking. But, I dunno, over time I got used to them and now I think they're kinda hot. Yeah, if you actually think about it, they're pretty silly looking, but if people walked around with their hands covered all the time they'd look damn weird when we took the gloves off. Vaginas aren't any less silly looking, imo. And the arousal factor is more about thinking what they're for, what they do, and what they represent - if you're with a guy you like, and he's hard, that's pretty arousing on it's own. I dunno.

61. THANK YOU! Wherever I go, people always praise KHII but I honestly think the theories people came up with before the game came out were better. The plot sucked, and the Organzation characters were interesting but never were developed enough. I had so many high expectations for that game that fell flat when I started playing. In my head I had all these fanon theories, like Kairi actually developing as a character and kicking ass, the "BHK" (aka Roxas) playing a significant role instead of popping up for the first 2 hours and then disappearing, and an actual explanation for Riku and Mickey's organization cloaks.

An explanation about Keyblades and how the hearts of worlds work would be great, too. Just explaining the whole system.
I mean, the bad retcon with introducing the Organization and Nobodies was one thing, but then they became fandom bicycles. And for what? Maybe five minutes of screentime each?
All I wanted was epic Heartless battles, Sora finding out the truth, finding Riku and Mickey, and everybody going home happy.

But yeah, I agree. Some of the fan theories were a lot more fun.
