Okay! I'm terribly sorry. Nobody should ever cosplay outside their own race. Please pass that along, and make sure your Asian friends don't cosplay characters with western names and looks. That means absolutely no Full Metal Alchemist cosplay, no Final Fantasy cosplay (except maybe Yuna, but everybody hates her), no Howl's Moving Castle cosplay, no Harry Potter cosplay, etc.

Please make sure they don't use any gratuitous English. Also, it would be best if you all wore kimono and other traditional Japanese clothing instead of western-influenced fashion. It would be an embarrassment to your superior race.

I dont hate Yuna. She was my first cosplay, actually. I adore her, kthx. Also I have a friend whos part asian and lives in Shanghai that even goes by the name of Yuna. ^^; Please to not be assuming how much someone hates a character.

So what you are saying is that, for example, my brother can't cosplay Sado Yasutora from Bleach, because he's not Japanese, even though just like Sado he's 6'5", is tan, has wavy brown hair in the same hairstyle, and has a voice deeper than Barry White?

FUCK YOU. We'll stop imitating Japan when Japan stops imitating pretty much every country with a romanic language (Spanish [Bleach], French, English [Full Metal Alchemist], I'm looking at you!).

Just because you're Asian doesn't entitle you to anything. Edward Elric and Alphonse are clearly English, and thus, according to your standards, would be better portrayed by English cosplayers. And Sado Yasutora is clearly Hispanic, therefore he would be better portrayed by a Hispanic, i.e someone like my brother.

OH SHIT. In that case, Japan couldn't monopolize cosplaying, now could they? The most amazing Ulquirroa and Kefka cosplayers I've met are American.

Get your face out of your ass. We'll stop cosplaying when Japan stops being perverted and creepy, okay?! OKAY!

I both agree and disagree. I don't think the Heroes fandom is the wankiest. That honor goes to the Harry Potter fandom. However, the HP wank usually doesn't get under my skin and leave a bitter taste in my mouth. Usually I just LOL and move on. With Heroes, especially that astral plane wank, I couldn't enjoy the show afterwards. I was disgusted with the attitudes from the people involved.

I was so worried about entering the fandom and having it affect my enjoyment of the show. After that infamous wank, I stopped feeling anything for the show. I should probably try to go back, at least keep up with one or two communities. Maybe I should rewatch the first season. Glad that you're still enjoying the series. I should learn from you. :)

I agree. So much. The astral plane wank was hilarious up until a point, after which it just showed such an ugly side to people and friendships in fandom. All the other more srs bsns wanks have made me dread reading any meta that isn't written by a friend, too.

Maybe I should rewatch the first season.

You definitely should! I was rewatching episodes one and two today, actually, because I missed the characters, and realized more than I have in a while how much I do adore this show. I hope you'll get back into it! It has its problems, of course, but I'm glad I can still enjoy it. :)
