26. FUN FACT: Cosplay was first introduced at a Star Trek Convention in Japan. An American was hired to dress, walk, and talk as Mr. Spock for the day. The Japanese were charmed by this, and continued the tradition for many conventions ever since. Cosplay is not Japanese at its core, though it may be Japanese scented now. It is American. Cultural exchange is a beautiful thing.

And I don't have one of those wonderful The More You Know macros. Would Anonymous care to provide one?

Seconded. I used to worry about it a lot but not so much anymore. After all, at the end of the day it isn't the real thing. Those images are highly sexualized and human sexuality is a funny thing, sometimes it responds in ways we don't want or expect. I would be more worried but I stumbled upon actual CP thanks to 4chan and when I realized what I was looking at I become severely freaked out (almost vomited I was so upset). I figure that reaction is enough to say that my brain knows where to draw the line and I bet the OP's probably does too. The line is shaky, granted, but it still exists. Don't worry, liking it doesn't necessarily make you a bad person. Just be careful and mindful; remember that it is only drawn fantasy.

13. Mmmm, yes the mecha fights! At some point I was squeeing over how much thought and detail had gone into the designs of the cockpits (at least it seemed that way to me while I was doing some research on fighter jets and stuff). But I don't know enough about mecha and spec stuff to really talk about it.
It's probably shiny mecha fights that keep me watching things like Code Geass and Macross...

I don't see why not. If I had to choose, I like Tennant's Doctor a little better, but I thought the dynamic between Ten and Rose was too... cutesy? I don't know. I enjoyed the tone of Nine and Rose much more. A friend of mine feels the same way. (Although neither one of us is particularly interested in Doctor/Rose in a romantic sense.)

lol totally is. I have hated Disney since I was a child and once or twice, my style has been compared to classic 2D Disney movies and I get pretty pissed off. I think the movies suck, the art is stupid (big square eyes for the lose!) and the corporation is evil and greedy, like most corporations but even more so because they're supposedly about "family".

I was shocked when I came to fandom for the first time and saw how many people fangirl Disney princesses. Out of all the lame catalogue of characters, they are the LEAST deserving.

Disney makes me sick, so tl;dr, yes.

32. I'm inclined to agree with you. The unabridged version is so rich in lovely detail, and Goldman exaggerates the length of various descriptive passages. True, the unabridged is slightly more difficult to come by, but it's so worth it. So much is lost in the abridged version, including hilarious dialogue between Buttercup and Fezzik during the time of her kidnapping. Morgenstern was spectacular, and Goldman uses the movie version he produced to undermine the original author's genius.
