For ~~a lot~~ most of fans of the movie, it's not about the characters.

I've seen it at least seven times, and I love it...but there are two reasons why.

1 - Jim Sturgess is pretty and has a pretty accent. When his hair gets long and greasy I'm midly squicked, so 21 is better in that regard...but I'm not ashamed to admit that about 1/3 of why I love this movie is his pretty eyes and pretty hair and pretty accent.
2 - The music. It's all about the music. Inb4"justlistentothebeatlesthen!" because it's not the same. I like the Beatles, I listen to them, but this is the Beatles with different arrangements, sung by different people.

(Trust me, it's not about the characters or the plot. Max is cute, Jude is hot, but they're all flat and boring stock characters, especially Lucy, and it follows the "boy meets girl, boy and girl are separated, they meet again and fall in love, they fight, one leaves, they make up against all odds" forumla. Oh, and I hated Being for the Benefit. Sorry.)

116. The call is pretty hard to resist, especially with 8! :) But yeah, after I write a Mary Sue (which will never see the light of day), I always feel the need to punish myself with bad!fic readings and Zapruder footage.

I've never harassed anybody for their way of life, (nor, to address your example, criticised somebody's sexuality because of my belief). It'd just be nice if the same courtesy was extended to me.
Was there anything about what I wrote that suggested that I routinely harass people? Because I believe the gist was more "can we just talk about fandom, now?"

Yes, thank you. I love the Ninth better (he was my first doctor ever) but Tom Baker will always be my favorite doctor.

103--Sorry that you're having a hard time having everyone in fandom accept your religious values. They probably picked up on your "goddamn bigots" attitude a loooong time ago. The next time you feel let down by fandom, turn off the computer and join the wider world. There are churches on every block where I live. I'm sure you'd feel right at home.

162--I couldn't agree more. I'm glad to see kids reading them and enjoying them but the dysfunctionality, dear god, please make it stop!

=/ uhhh, yeah. I may have come off as pissy in the secret, but I can assure you that I don't normally talk to people that way. This was my venue to vent frustration. Normally I don't bring up religion when randomly talking to fandom friends, and I don't expect or need them to believe in what I believe, either.
I don't need everyone in fandom to accept my religious values; I actually never stated that in the secret, either. What I asked was if people could please stop bashing me for no other reason than the fact that I might have mentioned something pertaining my beliefs in an aside.
I think you might have misunderstood a mite.

108- haha! Yeah I actually don’t like it that much either- but it does have it’s great moments!

158- Yes some sections of the Twilight fandom are very immature. But there are some sections of it that I do think are both intelligent and mature and I do really enjoy it for the most part! But you are right- Obsessive Edward fangirling = EPIC FAIL! :D

162- Your right. It’s completely unhealthy. Some of us do see that though! We’re not all so dazzled by Edward Cullen we can’t see that relationship for what it is! :D I ship Jacob/Bella for this precise reason. I see E/B as a unhealthy and destructive relationship and I see J/B as a much healthier and more fun alternative! :)

172- I agree. It irritated me so much that his character was changed so dramatically!
