157 - There seem to be a lot of these "old-school anime are better" secrets (pre-2000 is old school, now?), but you just listed off a bunch of popular shows that you haven't watched at all, and that makes me wonder what else you haven't tried touching at all.

There are good shows these days. Frankly, I think there are plenty of them. There are also WAY MORE shows in general than before, so there's going to be more crap, too. You just have to dig a little deeper and stop only looking at what gets pimped up the ass.

A number of good shows that don't get much attention, and therefore are possibly ignored by people who say "nothing's good anymore", are even featured here on F!S, usually by people who bemoan the very fact that they have no fandom.

I just think the "no new-school anime is good" mentality means you're glossing over a lot of stuff you might like.

167 - You too. I adored Yu Yu Hakusho way back in the day; it was the show that interested me in Weekly Jump titles in general. It was great. I've seen lots of shows/read manga since then, and I've found many that I've liked even more. It can always be your best ever, but why only have that when you can have plenty of others that you can just "enjoy"? Do they really need to topple whatever you watched before it?

157. I completely agree with this. I can understand getting all nostalgic over older series, but there are SO MANY amazing series that have come out in recent years. It just seems like a lot of them end up with little/no publicity, a small fanbase, and not nearly the attention they deserve.
