137 - It's really not such an unlikely pairing if you would care to take time to read this (http://community.livejournal.com/ship_manifesto/157549.html). Srsly, I haven't seen the manga as pushing this idea that Hinata will be a second place prize.

Granted, Kishimoto fairly sucks at writing women (aside from perhaps, Tsunade), but then I could say the same of plenty of shounen-mangaka. Wtf, only 4 girls in the main cast, including Team Gai?

I have. I've also read every Hinata/Naruto fanfiction on fanfiction.net :( Believe me when I say I don't want to hate this pairing as much as I do, especially when it might be canon! I just think Hinata deserves someone who can understand her subtleties and whom Hinata doesn't idolize but someone who she feels is her equal.

154. Well, I rather liked it, but I will be the first to admit: MY GOD, THIS MOVIE IS SO FUCKING OVERBLOWN. I mean, it's basically "let's remake as many Beatles songs as possible and try and make it a story." I found the story entertaining enough, and I even liked most of the remakes (of course they didn't hold a light to the originals, but we've got apples and oranges, here) but it wasn't a life-changing event, or anything. oO;

106: Me too! It gets confusing, but more so for other people than me. I have to be careful about when and where I fangirl certain fictional men, because real life men do nothing for me and I don't want to mislead people into thinking they do.

I used to stress out over this, but I haven't started being attracted to real life men despite my crushes on fictional male characters, so I figure it's just another aspect of the "RL kink != fandom kink" thing.

You know, a huge butt-ton of us, including the ones that are rather anti-religious (I think it's harmful at its core, but that religious people can be very good people still, and non-religious people CAN still be assholes), don't actually care if you're religious or not. I tend to be a bit wry about it (known too many fangirls who giggle over yaoi and go "ew! ew! it's so wrong!" about anyone gay in real life, and had one too many people decide that being in fandom and enjoying the things she enjoyed was betraying her religion), but I don't let it seep into my fandom relationships- or my personal ones, for that matter.

That said, if people are going to be mocking beliefs, just try to ignore them. People hold their own opinions and are going to express them, some of them might not even mean to be asses about it, some of them might. Let it slide off as best you can, because in this case, you're in the right- fandom has nothing to do with whether you're religious or not, and you can fangirl all you like without getting flack for it. Just keep in mind that, if you're referring to the secrets that've been posted here sometimes, I think for the most part they're referring to specific, more extreme examples, like the fandom people who say that the very existance of slash fans is an evil thing that ruins the fandom, etc.

142. I really, really love Ten, not because of his looks, but because of... well, what I've heard a LOT of people call his "overacting." I don't find it overacting, I find it REALLY, REALLY INFECTIOUS, and I think he's just so much fun. I really loved Nine, though, and Four is definitely one of my very, very favorites (Tom Baker ftw!)
