147 - E-err...you do know there were a 4 and 5, right? Most people (unless they're fanatical Luc retards) pretty much admit that 3 was utter trash, 4 was getting better, and 5 was actually the sequel to 1 and 2. Don't give up on Suikoden just cause of the utter tripe 3 turned out to be.

147. ??? Most Suikofen, as far as I know, dislike/hate 4 because although the battle system was closer back to what we liked in 1/2, the game over all was a pile of turd, and most Luc fans weren't exactly happy with 3, because, y'know, we kind of have to kill him off...?

Most people don't "admit that 3 was utter trash"; as far as I've seen, the opinion on 3 is largely divided down the middle. Though perhaps we're reading different message boards/pools of opinions.

Okay, the number of people going 'omg it's totally fine' is waay to many.

Okay, you like hentai. Congrats. Lots of people do. It's perfectly fine to like hentai.

However, letting the whole world know your porn preference? Not so fine. Because honestly, no one wants to fucking know. I don't want to know that you watch porn. If you do, fine, but that doesn't mean you should wear a damn bag that says 'hey I like mostly weird porn!'

And actually, a lot of people know what hentai is. It's not some select few who know. You don't have to be in fandom or watch anime to know. It's not a secret. Shocking, I know, but true.

TL;DR stop displaying your porn preference for everyone to see, no one wants to know.

106: Ah, Yu Yu Hakusho. Good to see there are other people in the fandom. Check out the manga. I've only just started into it, but apparently the subtext becomes quite gay and merry quite quickly.

138: Concurred. To me, it seems any LxLight would have to be in an AU... as in, go back, rewrite how they met, edit out L's constant suspicion, maybe make him fall in love? I could only see Lightxanyone as Light being a maipulative mind-effing bastard, like with Misa, but import some more humanity to L and one-sided totally-exploited love might be possible. I still love their interaction though, for the mindgames and the regular xanatos roulettes and gambits common to the show...

144: Note to self: read the old Catwoman comics. Whoever this Brubaker is, you've got me interested in seeing his work. I love the concept of Catwoman and Selena Kyle, but you're right, it hasn't been treated well in most of the comics or the even new movie. (Sidenote, though: the DVD included a "history of catwoman" documentary that was actually quite good. Maybe it's on Youtube already, I don't know. It's a bit dry and factual-only, but it includes awesome art and pages from earlier comics, some clips of earlier movies, and is narrated by a former Catwoman actress.)

The movie made me angry on two counts: it had nothing to do with Catwoman in general, and Brubaker's concept would have been PERFECT for a movie. Predictably, the movie bombed, but now the odds of them making another Catwoman movie with a GOOD idea are pretty much gone, since I'm sure to the studio heads it isn't, 'we made a bad movie', but 'Catwoman just isn't popular enough to sell movie tickets'.

These days, I hate how fandom hates Suzaku so much.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Lelouch. I rooted for him for most of the first season, but he continuously, continuously shatters my heart with his actions in every other episode now. He's fighting for the right side, his intentions are good, but he doesn't care enough about how he does it. Somehow I think it's partly to do with what happened to Euphie, but he's spiraling further and further downwards and acting way too much on emotion rather than on his brilliant logic.

As for Suzaku... I hated him for his attitude in the first season. Pretending to be so good and being so bloody annoyingly naive... Now though, he's certainly taken a good few lessons from Lelouch and he's becoming the stronger character in my eyes, while Lulu is suffering. Why for the life of me he thinks that changing Britannia from the inside is going to do anything while V.V. and Charles are still around... argh.

At this point, I'm a confused little fangirl that has jumped ship halfway through. D: Half of me laughs at how ridiculous Lulu is now, and the other half weeps every time he makes another heartless mistake. T^T'

OTL Suzaku, knock some sense into him!

I feel the same way. I'm in despair at every episode, because you just know he isn't going to get away with this shit the way he's going. Suzaku on the other hand hasn't done anything 'wrong' as such, his actions are understandable from his POV but it looks like they're both heading for some kind of retribution. I just hope its tragic and wonderful. Also, yay for Suzaku's development in R2 - a lot of people did think he was annoying, but to me he was nothing but endearing and fascinating 8D;; Needs confrontation of those two before one or both die!

131. Now, that's not always true. In RG Veda pretty much everyone dies, and in Clover it was the het that kicked the bucket. X is a weird situation because it's pretty much even-odds as to who gets killed off in that series, het or yaoi or not-involved-with-anyone (NEEDS MOAR YURI) alike. Wish ended well (despite it not being quite BL or het because of the genderless thing), and CCS had Touya and Yukito. With the way things are going, I doubt either Kurogane or Fay is going to die, or have an unhappy ending. I just don't see it going that way. :>

That said, don't give up! Clamp's hardly the be-all and end-all of manga, and some other out there will surely catch your heart. Have you considered looking into... say, Princess Princess, or tactics?
