I have two Pokemon keychains on my wallet chain, an LoZ wallet, some Zin buttons on the loop of the belt part of the wallet... and when I need to go somwhere that requires a bag of some sort, I use my Eva messenger bag with another Pokemon keychain on it and a Ragnarok-related button.

What's wrong with having fandom-related items with you in public?

The secret was about that bag specifically, I used the word 'fandom' too generally.

I don't care about showing fandom (the background of my phone is fandom-related, I don't really carry much else that could be), but hentai? No.

Well, maybe not so much in the second season since Suzaku has been taking lessons from Lelouch, but Lulu...shows it more, I guess? Lelouch has been that way from the very beginning.

N!S 5: That's funny, I thought the 'point' of that show was to be a Reconstruction of the Big Mech genre, a thinly-veiled Puberty metaphor with hot SHOUNEN ENTHUSIASM, and lots of Gainaxing.

Both of you got the show wrong. It wasn't supposed to be a Reconstruction of the Big Mech genre, it used to Big Mech genre to further the true point of the storytelling. It's a "memento mori" take on the concept of progress. The quirks of the classic "coming of age" tale such as honoring your legacy, change, breaking traditions, reciprocal individuality or burden of responsibility were only used as a way to bring this idea to a more personal level.

117. YES!!! I did come to like the canon main couple but... MOTHERLY? Sounds more like 'cheap way to clear the way for the *real* main couple' to me. I finished the manga, and I still shipped Yuki/Tohru more than Kyo/Tohru, which had FAR less development in the earlier volumes IMO.

...and I didnt really like the chick Yuki ended up with either. Maybe thats why I just wanst able to get past my initial ship.

Personally, I think it was a cheap way to get Yuki/Tohru out of the way for Kyo/Tohru. I finished the manga and found Kyo/Tohru had far less development than Yuki/Tohru. It makes me sad. =(

And Machi was a boring plot device.

And can you explain me how it falls flat? Because just saying "the romance totally falls flat" is a pretty shitty argument. Gurren-Lagann portrayed their relationship as very respectful and important to the development of the overall plot. Simon was only Simon because he met Nia and Nia was only Nia because she met Simon. Even when he was fighting against Nia, he was still fighting for her sake. Trying to protect the city she made, the world she built.

Lol, I wondered if I was going to get that response.

It's not anything deep and psychological, it's just that I was away from my friends and family and needed something other than soul-crushing classes to look forward to each day. So because Ahiru got through worse situations and stayed so cute, even though I know she's a fictional character, it made me smile and think that I could put just a little more effort into classes and spending time with new friends. So I did, and I passed with a B+ average and am going back next year just fine. :)

Well, rather than a just a "love interest" Nia was a character very important for Simon's development. She wasn't just there to support Simon, Simon actually needed her. She and Simon shaped each other in very indepth ways, Simon is only Simon because he is with her. Simon was only "perfect" because he had Nia. If they hadn't meet each other they would both be cynical piles of angst.
