105. I imagine the reason there's not a lot of Yamamoto uke is because 80% or more of the fic with him is Yamamoto/Gokudera, and Gokudera makes an awful top in most situations. Oh, it's certainly possible, but it takes a very special writer to make it plausible. Granted, it takes a very special writer to make it plausible for him to bottom, too, but MORE special to get him on top.

134. In my opinion, those movies are an insult to just about everything, including human intelligence. And the books were better than both movies. ;p

156: I think it would only make you a bad feminist if you didn't recognize the problems with how these shows treat their women. You're certainly not alone as I'm there are plenty of women who love these shows but don't agree with their writing and presenting of women. At least you have the sense to recognize the problems with the writing whereas many people would not, not just for these series either, for several others as well. I love, love, love Fullmetal Alchemist, for example, but the treatment of women in the narrative of the story makes me see red (particularly in the manga.) Doesn't stop me reading/watching, however.

Don't feel too bad. I've been watching some Third Doctor serials and they're just.......my god. The characters are awesome enough for me to keep watching, and hell, the plots are ok if nothing to write home about, but the special effects? OWCH.

I think having a deep love of Classic Who is most prevalent -- and most understandable -- in people who were actually alive when it aired. I'm 18 and way too young to have seen the old stuff, so I personally can't get past the people in rubber dinosaur suits, and I suspect it's the same for many members of the younger sect. Of course, maybe you're forty or something, I'm just assuming here.

Er, though, I'll admit I'd be fairly disappointed if it turned out you only watch the show because TEN IS TEH HAWT.
