I hate it when I'm late to a fandom. They are usually good for the first 1-3 years and after that it's just drama, infighting and coffee shop AUs.

I have trouble caring about the things half my lj/dw friends post. I don't know if it's that I can't find people with common interests or fandoms, or if I've outgrown online friendships. I want to be a good friend. I just don't know how when I'm not at all interested in most of what they talk about.

In theory, I want to make friends beyond the two I already have but, in practice, it's just tiresome. I hate putting myself out there.

I hate spending money. I'm in my mid twenties and have 20k in savings but I have trouble justifying buying anything.

One of my best friends is a guy, and I'm worried our friendship will suffer if one of us dates again. Not that it would end, but if he gets a girlfriend, will she be happy if we get drinks after work??

I don't understand why Bates Motel has to be set in the modern era. People can process things taking place before 2013. That's why period dramas are popular.

I've never seen Bates Motel. Or Psycho. It's a totally unsolicited opinion.

The "love triangle" in The Hunger Games didn't bother me at all. I thought it was supposed to be contrived, clearly part of the games, not something Katniss really wanted. I was surprised to learn, years later, that Suzanne Collins had to put it in because her publishers wanted a love triangle. I thought fandom just missed the satire.

It seems like most of the Rumpelstiltskin and Belle/Rumple fandom thinks Robert Carlyle is hottest as Mr. Gold in his pricey suits, or Mr. Gold in Rumpelstiltskin’s leather. But for me, his most attractive iteration is snaggle-toothed, scaly, sparkly, bug-eyed Rumpelstiltskin. (But yes, the leather helps.)

I just started watching the TV series, and can't believe that so many people say they prefer Harry Shum, Jr over Godfrey Gao as Magnus Bane.

I’m normally all about Beauty and the Beast/redemption via love stories, but there has to be something in it for the Beauty. I can’t see Reylo as a “(romantic) love redeems” story, because Kylo has no good qualities. He cares for no one, creates nothing, and has no sense of humor.

Characters that make sexy stop.

A character who is in no way sexually appealing to you and the thought of them having sex is a turn-off. I am not talking about someone aesthetically displeasing, they can look fine, but it’s like thinking about an IRL relative. They are fine in a background couple, but as soon as the they become the focus of anything sexy, you just can’t.

Maybe it’s someone like Ron Weasley. Or maybe someone like Emma Frost really doesn’t do it for you. Do you have one or more of these?
