ITA! That show is shit and yet every week there I am, sacrificng an hour of my life to it...

192 YOU ARE MY FAVORITE.

[identity profile] dbzlives.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
105 - I've never really seen the attraction of Zoro/Sanji either. Rivalslash in general doesn't really do it for me. I mostly ship Zoro/Luffy. I wander into the fandom once every six months or so to see if anyone's written anything new.

194. I'd be upset if anyone tried to kill Wesley too tbh. He is made of puppies and awesome. And Fuck Cyvus Vail while I'm here, that bastard.

Re: 194

[identity profile] christ-chexx-4u.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
HELL FUCKING YES. wesley is, without a doubt, one of the most amazing characters to ever come out of the jossverse. i think he and spike are pretty much @ a tie for me.

134. Would you post it? I don't read much if any Naruto fic anymore, but that sounds like it could be interesting enough to make the effort. And you know the rule of thumb for fanfic - as long as it's IC and well-written, right?

169. The Sense and Sensibility movie is pretty decent. Pity I don't like that book nearly as much as Pride and Prejudice.

Re: 134, 169

[identity profile] noheadlines.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
169: Agreed. Because Emma Thompson >>>>>>>>>>> Keira Knightley.

[identity profile] delfeus.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
134. I would read it. :) I think that a lot of people could see the potential in the pairing and there's not much yuri out there, so it might be well received. Of course there will be whiners, but they won't be all the people seeing it.

101 - HOW can you hate forrest gump? HOW??? congratulations, you have no soul.

103 - LOL BITTER FIC WRITER WITH NO REVIEWS. CRY MOAR.

108 - PLZ 2 B TROLLING ELSEWHERE.

129 - or, you know, you could just watch the show for what it is and take the characters for who they are. newsflash: people who dislike martha dont dislike her because shes black. its idiots like you who keep racism alive by seeing it everywhere and shaking your fist at the sky for nothing other than to raise a ruckus.

151 - ikr? HOW DARE WE FIND PEOPLE ATTRACTIVE! i mean, it goes against the very laws of nature!! .....wait a minute....

174 - ditto.

175 - OBV, that'd be some kinky shit right there. just watch out for that hot poker getting shoved up your ass.

164. Return to Oz Secret WHOA! I want to make wheels like that and ride around on all fours. looks like fun.

166. I believe it to be true.

161

[identity profile] miss-kate18.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
161 - Really?! I don't know, I'm the opposite- love The Joker and fucking hate The Beatles. I like to think he'd listen to something a little more interesting.

189 - I can ship the second two but not the first, because when Cillian is involved I start veering into dangerous self-insert territory. That stuff is for my own fantasies only. :P

you're fucking joking right? clamp is just like all the other sparkly gross anime garbage and the plots are the same thing.

not the op

so you missed the part where the secret op said she liked it for the art and didn't give a shit about the plot?

so she likes the art and you don't. omg the internet is going to collapse now.

*rolls eyes*

102: NEW OTP
161: Dear God, that is so much WIN! I agree there.
169: That Pride and Prejudice sucked so much.

Re: 169

(Anonymous) 2008-08-23 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
169. It couldn't have been that bad. I had never read Pride and Prejudice and had no interest in doing so (had a bad Jane Austen experience in high school), but I saw that version of the movie and absolutely loved it, so then I read the book and I loved it too.

Oddly enough, I later tried to watch the 1995 miniseries version, and couldn't get through it.

(Anonymous) 2008-08-23 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
101. Tom Hanks is so freaking overrated, seriously. I wish he'd be unrecognizable in a movie, just once.

102. This idea is so awesome.

129. Millionth verse, same as the first!

195. Yikes. Um, you really shouldn't be letting fandom influence you like that.

122

(Anonymous) 2008-08-23 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
I love his character the most in that movie ♥
(I just watched it for the first time 3 hours ago)

102: I want one so I can go back in time, find some people, and tell them to be in certain places at certain times to not only fark up the space-time continum and rip holes in the universe, but to get dates and to be less of a loser. :D

126: Gah, I love what she's wearing in that episode.

147: Thanks to you, neither can I.

151: Well, they're amusing, disturbing, and sometimes they make you feel better about your own list of fictional character's you'd shag the lights out of. This is everyone's way of admitting their most embarassing lust objects and then finding out by the comments whether they should go hide in shame and cry, or be totally releieved because everyone else yells, "DITTO!" At least, this is what I've gathered, and I've only been hanging around a couple of weeks or so.

168: I need to go check this comic out.

196:AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA*gasp*HAHAHAHAH! So wrong, and yet, so amusing. :D

107- Ok I'm kinda suspecting that you're a troll that posted the Watchmen secrets concerning Rorschach. If you are not, you're rant is so funny, and so overblown. The movie will cause fangirl misinterpreted squeeing, no doubt. But just laugh at it. The bad fic will be epicly bad, and will just cause massive lulz.

132- AGREED! He reviews with such honesty, and respect.

139-Prob a troll. But the fic will be great for the lulz.

178- YES YES YES!!! I love love Vic Sage. Hell, the only comic character I like better is Batman. Renee Montya is NOT The Question. Vic's past, his motivation, and he himself, just blows her away. His death and her taking the mantle of the Question made me lose interest in the character. I just read the old comics, and watch him in JLU. Don't worry, there a are plenty of strong female DC comic Characters. I love Wonder Woman and Zatanna, personally.

(Anonymous) 2008-08-23 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
Not!Secret 3 - It looks like it was made in MS Paint. Get over yourself.

(Anonymous) 2008-08-23 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
I thought the exact same thing. I was like, "What, and you're proud of how that secret looks?" The ugliest thing I ever made on Photoshop looks better than that.

I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE AGREES. SO GLAD.

And everyone wonders why listening to the HoND soundtrack makes me hot XD;

[identity profile] melengro.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
129. *nods* That's one of my biggest problems with the way the show's been run recently.
158. I agree. It is, however, a damn good thing that an afterlife exists in the Geassverse because, no matter how fucked-up Lelouch is, he NEEDS and DESERVES to see her again...sometime...
168. I fail to see how Rose Tyler can inspire anybody to do anything, but vive la difference.
175. Who WOULDN'T?

162. Why? Not asking this to be bitchy, I'm just curious.

185. Aren't the writers the ones to blame for race issues? I wasn't thrilled about Maya first, but this post (http://just-katarin.livejournal.com/107293.html) made me see that the problem wasn't with the character herself (or her brother), and [livejournal.com profile] bobthehaitian has a lot of good posts about Heroes and its approach to women and characters of color, which is often fucked up. I see no reason why Maya couldn't be a better character once the writers pull their heads out of their asses and remember characters who aren't Petrellis or Sylar.

[identity profile] noheadlines.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
My favourite has always been Whicker Island. I've never met anyone else who loves that sketch as much as I do. :(

Re: 167

[identity profile] kateorman.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 09:19 am (UTC)(link)
When I first saw that sketch - in the late 80s, I guess - I nearly laughed myself to death. And I had absolutely no idea who Alan Whicker was. Many years later, I saw an clip from Whicker's show, and couldn't stop giggling. :)

[identity profile] icefalcon.livejournal.com 2008-08-23 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
102 - AMAZING. <3

114 - And anything by A Perfect Circle. Or Evanescence. Or Vienna Teng.

169 - Amen. Hell, I wish they'd stop remaking my favourite FILMS too.

172 - MORDANT'S NEED SECRET FUCK YES THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE STEPHEN DONALDSON LOVE. For all his stuff. Honestly, the way fandom pounces on rape and prison cliches, you'd think they'd be all over the Gap series at least. Who cares if it's a shallow reason to hook them in, once they're there, they'll be overcome with SD's amazing writing.

P.S. I'm waiting for my (young) Joyse.

175 - He'd totally be FILTHY in bed. I love it.

Re: 172

(Anonymous) 2008-08-26 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
... Gap series? I think this will require some looking into very, very soon.

Okay, so looked into. I actually own at least one of those books, but not the first, which is why they haven't been read yet. I think I picked it up at a library sale just because of name recognition. Will be on getting the rest ASAP.

Young Joyse would be amazing as well. I wish there were more stories from during the time of the war to unite the Cares as Mordant. Or more stories of anything set there, really.

Hooray for Donaldson love!
