...That being said, I both sorta don't like and sorta like that movie. It confuses me.

112. A kink meme is where people request certain types of smutfics and people post with them. ...Yeah, that's really all it is. The PW one is one of the most active. My fandom, Princess Tutu, tried one, but it never got off the ground, sadly.

I miss her too.

She was a fandom friend who became a RL friend. She introduced me to quite a few fandoms. My RL friends became her RL friends. We hung out almost every weekend. We all had a lots of fun being fangeeks together. We've been out of touch for almost a year now - ever since she dropped off the net. I don't know how to fix what is broken with us.

185: Also yes. People hate her because she was written as repetitive and dull. This is reflected in articles and reviews of the show and conversations with people who watch the show but don't read fic. People who work for magazines are not secretly MattMo or Mylar shippers who feel that she's a threat to their imaginary slash pairing. Nor are most of them misogynists. Nor are they anti-Latina. They are regular people who watched a show and found a character annoying. So why aren't fans around here allowed to think the same thing?

What I hate is that if you are a Mylar fan suddenly it doesn't matter why you hate her, everyone assumes it's because she threatens the OTP.

Are there people who seriously think Mylar fans expected to get Mylar in canon? Of course we don't, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't prefer them to be paired with women who don't suck so much. Mylar is my OTP, but I'd read either of them with Elle and I read a ton of Sylaire because one of my friends writes it.

Although some kink memes are perfectly alright with just prompts, gen, etc. It depends, really. The PW kink meme is just the most famous because it's SO LONG. Like... 8 parts last time I checked. 103. Are you in the BSG fandom, by any chance? Even though there are literally dozens of characters on the show, 99% of fanfic is centered around 2 pairings for 4 characters. It's ridiculous.

Or Mai-HiME/Otome. 99.9% of all the fic and fanwork for both series is Shizuru/Natsuki, when there's about 20 other characters that could be used. I'm actually starting to dislike Shizuru/Natsuki now because of it.
